Lucha Libre by RTG

Lucha Libre by RTG takes players into the colourful and energetic world of Mexican wrestling. The reels feature masked fighters, a packed arena and plenty of Mexican food and drink symbols.

The game uses a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 25 paylines. Symbols include wrestling belts, trophies, posters, television screens, chips, chilli peppers, tequila and other themed images.

Two wrestlers, Taco Malo and Guacamolio, act as the Wild symbols. They can substitute for regular symbols and normally appear as grouped Wilds on reel three.

These wrestler Wilds can cover the entire reel when they appear. They can also jump to another reel, creating additional opportunities to complete winning combinations.

The game has two Scatter symbols. The Wrestling Ring and Mask can both play an important role in triggering the game's special features.

Landing three or more Wrestling Ring Scatters activates the Time to Rumble bonus. This begins with a wrestling match where you choose one of three special moves.

Your choice determines the potential Free Games and multiplier. Successfully defeating the opponent can award up to 14 Free Games with a 2x multiplier, although different results can produce fewer spins or a lower multiplier.

The second major feature is called Mask of Fiery Doom.

This can be triggered when Mask symbols appear on the first two reels together with the stacked wrestler Wild on reel three. The masks are then held in position while the remaining reels spin.

Up to four reels can become filled with Masks during the feature. This creates numerous opportunities for Scatter combinations and can produce a multiplier of up to 81x from the Mask positions.

The Mask feature can also appear in connection with the Time to Rumble bonus. Therefore, reaching the wrestling bonus does not necessarily mean that your feature play ends with the Free Games alone.

The combination of grouped Wilds, jumping Wilds, Free Games and the Mask feature gives Lucha Libre considerably more action than its traditional 25-payline format suggests.

Lucha Libre does not use a progressive jackpot. Instead, its larger win potential comes from the Wild combinations and its various bonus features.

Overall, Lucha Libre is a colourful and unusual RTG slot that does a good job of matching its theme with its gameplay. The wrestling battle bonus makes the Free Games more interactive, while Mask of Fiery Doom provides another route to a much larger win.

If you enjoy Mexican themes, wrestling and slots with unusual bonus features, Lucha Libre has plenty of character.
