Dragon Age by BGaming

Dragon Age by BGaming takes players into an oriental fantasy world filled with dragons, magical symbols and an intriguing shape-shifting heroine.

The game uses a 5-reel, 3-row layout with 25 fixed paylines. The symbols include Asian-inspired treasures and characters, with the Dragon Head providing the game's Wild symbol.

The Dragon Head Wild substitutes for regular symbols when creating winning combinations. It cannot replace Scatter or Coin symbols.

Dragon Age has two separate bonus features, giving the game considerably more variety than a standard slot.

Free Spins

The first feature is the Free Spins bonus. It is triggered when three or more Scatter symbols land on reels 1, 3 and 5.

This awards 10 Free Spins featuring high-paying symbols. The bonus can also be retriggered when another three or more Scatters land in the required positions.

The unusual reel positions required for the trigger make the Free Spins feature particularly interesting. They also give the base game a clear target to watch for.

Gold Respin

The second feature is the Gold Respin bonus. This is triggered when six or more Coin symbols appear.

Once activated, the reels are replaced by a special collection grid. The Coins become sticky and each carries a value between 1x and 20x the bet.

The feature begins with six respins. Whenever a new Coin lands, it remains locked in place and the respin count is restored.

The Plus Spin symbol can add extra respins. If several Plus Spin symbols appear together, their additional spins are combined.

There is also a Collect symbol. When it appears, it collects the values of all Coins currently displayed on the reels, turning the accumulated values into a prize.

The biggest target is the 5,000x Mega Jackpot. Filling all 15 positions on the 5x3 grid with Coins awards this impressive jackpot.

Interestingly, the Gold Respin can also be triggered during the Free Spins feature. This creates the possibility of moving from one bonus into the other during the same feature session.

A Buy Bonus option is available on supported versions, allowing players to access either bonus directly rather than waiting for the relevant trigger.

Dragon Age has a 96.14% RTP and is generally classified as a high-volatility game. The published maximum win is 5,624x the bet, although the headline Mega Jackpot itself is 5,000x.

Overall, Dragon Age combines straightforward 25-payline gameplay with two very different bonus rounds. The Free Spins offer extra reel action, while the Gold Respin provides the main opportunity for a much larger prize.

The sticky Coins, Plus Spin and Collect mechanics make the Gold Respin particularly appealing for players who enjoy Hold and Win-style features.

If you enjoy Asian-themed slots with dragons, Free Spins and sticky Coin respins, Dragon Age offers plenty of bonus action.
