New Live Chat - Finally! Come Check It Out!

New Chat, Love it. Trying to change fonts (Mad Cow Disease). Learning all the new chat features, (someday). Getting the first bingo win of the month. (Priceless).

It looks good and runs fast. I'm an old fart that's running out of gas (lol), so it takes me a little longer to figure things out. I don't want to push the wrong buttons that will allow me to win every bingo game and kick everybody out of chat all at once, (Like i can get that lucky)

In regards to Internet Explorer 8, I was part of my Windows update (So I installed it on my computer). Didn't like it, and be careful of the Yahoo Search Protections, and other Yahoo items that come along with it. Whenever I upgrade, or install a new program I run Start-Up Mechanic. It gives me a list of programs that start when I boot my computer. It has 1 - Neccessary, 2 - Useful, 3 - Useless, 4 - Harmful, and 5 - Unknown. Here is what showed up:

The following two items came up at 4 - Harmful

program: search protection Description: W32/FEBELNECK-A WORM! Command c:\program files\yahoo!\search protection\searchprotection.exe

program: ysearchprotection Description: W32/FEBELNECK-A WORM! Command: "c:\program files\yahoo!\search protection\searchprotection.exe"

I disabled the two items, then went and uninstalled Internet Explorer 8, and both of the yahoo search protection.

I have never been a fan of yahoo installing toolbars, search engines, this and that with everything else thrown in between. It's comething that I can live without and it's better safe than sorry.

So far I have tryed everything suggested except upgrading to IE 8

I have heard bad things about it, so think I will wait until they get the bugs out of it

HELP! GENO???? When I tried to go to Bingo.... well, I pulled my card up first... then clickd the "Live Chat"... my Bingo card came up.., (and it played, once the Live Chat "said it started"..hmmm) which was weird..

The screen showed the "NEW" loading of chat... then just stayed white...

I closed it out, after waiting several agonizing minutes, but to no avail!!

I tried to RE-load it ... but,... it just flashed through like it was re-loading, (quite quickly, I might add), but then the white screen came and my status bar showed "DONE"

Please help..and am wondering if maybe I have to disable my accelerator... I do have "Netzero - Dial-up"... which come to find out was my problem with all the Vegas Technology Software..which they denied..and when I updated it for Windows Vista Premium..which I use..
that software finally started working correctly..man o' man!

Hi Bob, I believe Lena is on Net Zero also. I'm waiting for verification and will get back. Dunno if this may have anything to do with it or not.

Is anyone else using NetZero that has been to the chat room yet?

Hi Bob, I was just wondering have you tried entering the chat room using firefox or another program instead of internet explorer? Just a thought.

i'm also using netzero for dial up was able to get into old room but could never stay in there

when i try to load chat i just get a white screen and nothing else tried to reload and the same thing over and over again

Ok well we have it pin pointed down to you three using Net Zero.

Lena today downloaded Firefox www.firefox.com and was able to make it into the chat room.

Bob and Jackie you may want to try that. (fingers crossed it works!!)

Geno, I don't much care for the blue background in chat. I know it's keeping in line with CC but that blue is just hard on the eyes when chat is flying past so quickly. Plus it makes some of the font colors hard to see. The original was much better I think. I have tried all the different backgrounds and chat themes but nothing seems to help
