Dear Crushers,
I'm trying out the Tournament feature of our Arcade Games module. Please note that this may or may not work completely correctly BUT only some proper live testing will really tell. I've tried it out a fair bit and whilst a little clunky it seems to work.
So, I'd love your help to test out this "new" feature I've added from 8th until 14th February 2026.
How to join the tournament:-
1. Go to the Games Arcade menu option.
2. At the top of the list of games categories (just above the one that shows All games) you should see Tournaments -- click on this.
3. Then, check the box next to the tournament you wish to join (there will only be one at the moment whilst I'm testing) and click the Join button underneath.
4. When you return to the tournament menu, click on the title of the tournament (in this case Feb 2026 Burger Time) you wish you play the game for.
5. Then, click on the game (Burger Time) to open the game and play. Follow the instructions when completing the game to submit your score.
6. I have allowed up to 3 score submissions per member. NOTE - if you don't submit a score your 'go' is still counted so it's best to submit your score rather than just closing the window if your score isn't so good. You could re-try before submitting but please bear in mind that sessions do not last forever and may time out if you leave a game open for a long time (sorry I don't know the exact setting for that).
When you return to the tournament page it will show how many tries you have left.
Very shortly after 14th Feb (i.e. when I get up on 15th) I will end the tournament (it is not automatically closed) and then the winner will be announced.
The 1st place winner will receive $5 for 500 CCpoints.
If there is more than 1 first place winner then (because currently the tournament feature doesn't handle a tie) - the contest will be repeated (with a new tournament with scores reset) for another week until we have only 1 winner.
Please post a reply to this topic that you wish to take part. Also, please post any problems encountered (ideally with a screenshot if you can - or send the screenshot via PM to me).
If this tournament works well, I hope to be able to have more of them for different games in the future.
Good luck everyone and thank you in advance for also helping me test out this feature
Happy Gaming Always
