Yes, I wanted to go to Big Island and stay near the volcano but with the virus going around and the inter-island quarantine problems we said forget it and will just spend XMAS home on Oahu.

I know a rough life. HO HO HO.

In 1978 I walked across that volcano. The fence around it was about 18" high. Melted my shoes a bit. I was complete clueless about the possibility it may errupt. LOL Yes I am a natural blonde. LOL

There are lots of changes here.
Pa's Birthday is the 23rd and we usually get together for dinner that day. Nephews from Ohio and New York will not be coming. Our son (Local) and daughter will not be coming for either day. Grandkids will not be here either. It is just going to be Pa and Maw (Like it was 60 years ago ) LOL

I think that we will just wear masks, as we did in a couple other gatherings over the past few months. We have decided to do less casual visits thruout this time, but birthdays and holidays remain the same, with the exception of wearing masks.

Rita, you said in 1978, you were walking on Volcano. I remember 1978 in Illinois, that was the year of the huge blizzard!! Snow up to my neck. It was crazy!! LOL
No plans haven't changed. I'm cooking for my sons. Only thing different is my son has a new girlfriend & he's bringing her too. LOL

I remember the blizzard of 1978 in Cleveland, Ohio. I will never forget it. No plans have changed this year I will do as every year, video chatting with my mom and oldest daughter, and my other 2 daughters and their family over to open their presents. I will be in the kitchen ALL day cooking for it to be over in a half hour.
