Growing up, we always went out a got a fresh tree. The past few years it has been difficult to get a fresh tree due to apartment size. But yes, Virginia, there are live trees in San Diego.

The typically independent-thinking Crushers have spoken! All had good points.
For me, the best choice is a living real tree that can be replanted after Christmas. Replanting it is almost as big a deal as decorating it! (I talk to it, too, reassuring it that I will take it home a hero! shhhhhh!)
I really don't mind cleaning up messes. I like to take dirty things and clean them up until they are squeaky clean. Come back here, Allight! Don't you run from me!!! LOL!
