By now you know that I have been working on my Family Tree for over six years and now that I have located my ancestors back to 1393 England, I have been finding other Family Catalogs detailing actual letters, wills, and personal history of my ancestors.
My 7 times great grandfather was protestant that settled and cultivated a region (now known as N. Ireland). King Henry of Englad decided to raise rents and taxes then moved Irish Catholics into the area. This started the first uprising and fighting between (What is the now infamous) Catholic/Protestant Irish Wars. Patrick Jack was one of the original settlers. The French Bards were also in the area and some of them married into the Jack Family. When the first uprising started, a lot of the Jack Family migrated to the New World starting in the 1700's. Some of them was already established 9 years after Plymouth Rock.
I now know the story of how and when my ancestors came to America. I am also learning stories and historical documents (Wills, court records, etc) about the lives before, during, and after the American Revolution.
I have come across so much historical records that I am just blown away. It's like reading an American Novel. Getting captured by Indians only to be relased 9 years later. Migrating inward becoming the first settlers to make contact with indians and bartering with them. What role they played in the creation of the Declaration of Independance, who participated in the French and Indian War, and the Revolutionary War.
I just thought I would share this with you all.
