"where's The Socks?" Contest Closed Winner Announc

Every year at christmas I can alway count on my Mom getting me something of use for the house. Last year it was a deep frier & a bed set, this year it will be a new vacume cleaner. I make sure she knows what I want or need........LOL

my birthday is just 2 days after christmas- so i only get 1 present but usually they are good pressies

and no one yet- has ever repeated their presents for me- but hey- im only 23

my mom was always good about getting us kids what we wanted the most for christmas as long as it was resonable and so each year i knew to ask for what i wanted the most.now on the other hand i know when my motherin law brings a present over its gonna be what she didn't want the year before that she received so i can usually guess what shell be bringing LOL.

I too get socks and unders from my mom and dad every
year without fail. I can't think of a year that they missed.

Ditto on the socks. I can always count on a really nice


sweater.

Every year I get some kind of night wear.

From husband some kind of candy which he eats. he loves sweets.

Ever year my mom would give us home -made peanut butter candy ,along with whatever else she got us . I miss that so much ,since she passed away .( & I miss getting her peanut brittle candy every year , she loved it ) along with her gift .I always get a ring or a neckless from someone , every year . I don't really have anything I get regularly. Everyone knows I love the strange and unusual, so I like unique gifts. Each year I can count on hubby getting me my favorite Xmas taste treats, eggnog and fruitcake served with a big kiss.

HI CRUSHERS, well for the last 15 yrs iv hated christmas, and with good reason. so i would never put up tree. then when my grandaughters were 4 and 7 they bought me a prelite tree that sits on table, i got to admit it is pretty. rog and i think a lot of that little tree, ty josie46 ps they told thir mon grandma needs a treethey are now 7 and 10

I never get same gift since Im married. When I was with my parents, my Mom always bought us ( me and my two brothers) nice gifts accompany by couple of books.It was a must to get at least two or three books. Then we would read them at evenings and before New Year we were exchanging them between ourselves. I like this tradition very much, so now I give my son couple of books besides regular gift.

Well what I liked most before my mother passed away was she always made the BEST fudge and divinity. The fudge was always many different kinds for everyone. Some liked nuts, some hated nuts, some liked frosting some hated frosting etc. I do miss her fudge very much.

I have one uncle who always gave out strange gifts. He went to a lot of auctions and I guess that's where he would buy these things. It was always a whole case of something odd, and everyone in the family would get one of the items in the case. Same thing for each person, whether it was appropriate or not. So one year, I got a ballcap that had "Otasco" written on the front - I was about 7 probably then. Another year, we all got a bottle of doggie shampoo - only a few of us had a dog! My favorite was the year he gave us all a bag of beef jerky!
Before my grandparents on my mother's side died, they gave us (each of their grandkids) the same thing every year - a card with a $5 bill in it. Every year, since I was born til I was about 22 years old. My brother's name is Brian, and his was always addressed to "Brain". Guess my grandpa just never noticed he was misspelling it every year.

Something knitted from mom. Usually too big sweater. Mittens and scarves even a purse to match. Everything matching. Everyone gets something knitted. My mom is lost on airplanes now without those long knitting needles. They some serious weapons! Merry Christmas!

For me year after year my dad always brings me cashews and a bottle of dewers. I guess he knows his daughter!! mackieo
