I play mostly video poker, and I finally got a royal a couple years ago - a progressive one for $1200. This was at The InnZone, a neighborhood bar with video poker in Vegas, about 6, maybe 8 years ago.
I play a lot of blackjack too, and the only time I ever really won much at it was the one time I decided to play without having one alcoholic drink whatsoever, and I guess it worked, 'cause I was up about $700 when I cashed out. That was at the Excalibur in Vegas the first weekend it was open.
Wasn't quite as much fun though without drinks!

well on Mothers Day I went down to the card rooom which is several blocks from my house, just had this feeling which was screaming so loud I left my guy here at home, he was taking too long to get in the car!!!!
I played double action blackjack, and i got 3,4,5 of diamonds which is straight flush made a 5 dollar bet on the bonus , plus side bet of 1 dollar for the dealer on the bonus. i lost the blackjack play, but i won 250.00 on the bonus and the dealer won 50 dollars. to say the least the dealer was louder bout the win than i was, i almost got embarassed, was there for less than 15 minutes when i had won. I returned home and my guy didn't believe I had won and actually left and was home all within 25 mins.
ha ha ha i had the money to show......Like i am always telling him timing is everything!!!
