Day 23 - 1x$30 Prize Contest Ends 12/23 11:59 pm EST
When I was a child growing up, my parents allowed us to pick one present on Christmas Eve and open it. After I grew up, it was tradition for me to make a big pot of gumbo to be eaten on Christmas Eve with the in-laws. We would exchange and open gifts after got our bellies full. Christmas morning was all about the kids. In the afternoon, we would then go over to my parents and open the last of the gifts while we fed our bellies again.
Merry Christmas to everyone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!
Hello
Our Christmas tradition when I was growing up was that each
one of us kids got to choose 1 gift that we wanted to open on
Christmas Eve. Then on Christmas day we could open the rest
of our gifts. We played with our things until around noon and then
we would visit our relatives on Christmas day until about 6 at night.
HOPE EVERYONE HAS A MERRY CHRISTMAS !
Connie

All the family gets together Christmas Eve to eat, drink and be merry. We exchange gifts but the "white elephant" gifts are the most fun. We each bring an unusual but fun gift. Then we draw numbers to see who goes first, they pick a gift and open it. Then whoever got # 2 can either take # 1's gift or choose a different one to open, whoever got # 3 can take 1 or 2's gift or select a new one and so on and so on. Whoever got the highest number has it best, they can choose any gift since they are last.
It's a ball since some love their gift and don't want to give it up. There's a lot of trading around too when the game is over. Christmas day is spent sleeping late and enjoying our presents.
The Merriest of Christmases to all my fellow CC's and especially the staff.
