My Family, on my mom's side, celebrates on X'mas Eve and we traditionally wait till midnight to start opening and passing out gifts. Boy, you wouldn't believe how long it takes for all the gifts to be passed out. You know how presents are supposed to go underneath the tree? Well, i've got a pretty big family, we go up to 4 generations... presents up to the ceiling. Then for my dad's side.... we have a Family gathering and prayer on New Year's Day. My dad's mom passed away on New Years day and he was 16 yrs old when that happened so this prayer and gathering we have is definitely a tradition for i'd have a say over 30 yrs.

We Have all the family together and have fondu every Christmas Eve . Then in the morning we all gather around the tree and open presants together . Then I make a large breakfast for all .

We all gather at my parents place christmas eve for festivities..we have a simple meal, a few cocktails and bring all the gifts over and open them on xmas eve..take about a mountain of pressies..one of the younger kids doles out the gifts..when your looking at 200+ gifts under the tree it takes a whole evening...then on christmas day we converge once again at my parents place for dinner.
There's 8 of us kids in the family with spouses and children..if I looked out the window and seen an army of parents and kids barging into my house I think i'd bolt the doors...LOL

No real traditions...we usually just fly by the seat of our pants and hope everything comes together. Unfortunatly, some of my family is unreliable so it is hard to set traditions. Happy Holidays everyone!

We all get together at my sister's house and all the children open a mound of presents. We pick one name out of a hat full of family members names and buy them a gift. LOL, we eat and eat and eat some more, LOL.

Our family tradition includes decorating the inside of our houses for the holiday season. We also spend Christmas Eve together and listen to holiday music and sip on holiday drinks. Then our kids usually wake up before the sun comes up to see what Santa has left them. Simple but fun and always memorable!
