Hi sitemates ~
First, MANICPANIC, will you tell this young-hearted but old newbie what kind of memory you are talking about, because I need more, too, even on a modern puter.
pltuck ~
I have to add my 2 cents worth here since I always have memory problems and have to keep deleting programs that I don't want to delete.
If you have McAfee security (and there are many more ways), you can gain many, many MB by running a cleanup of your registry. McAfee I can assure you will not remove anything you might need. But it will get rid of old file fragments and stuff you have deleted and other junk.
Also, if you have any extra USB plug-in places, you can't beat the little USB flash thumb drives that are not expensive and you can plug them in and then pull them out and plug in another. You can put many programs on one of them.
Find them at any place that sells anything a computer could use.
Places like Circuit City, Walmart, Sam's Club, Target, Radio Shack, etc.
Hopes this helps. I know how frustrating it can be.

yup, what falcon said... you can get memory sticks that work with most any computer, but be careful at best buy, circuit city or the large chains, they just want ya to buy a new system when you don't have the money...(if you tell them you have an old comp they look at you like an alien cause the Geek Squad doesn't know what DOS is) just buy some generic IBM compatable memory and put it in yourself.. if you can't find your owners manual go online and you can usually get a step by step to install it..i say generic cause if you get say hewlett packard or any other name brand it costs a lot more .. thats about the best i can help ya , i just always get what my dad says...i finally 2 years ago bought a new computer and bought a generic memory stick and installed it myself... i still have space on here i haven't even used ...and i got a lot of crepe in this comp...

Gee, thanks a million, falcon and MANICPANIC!
This old newbie is finding that you can even get a relatively good computer education here at CC! Thanks to members like you two and your willingness to share what you have learned!!
I appreciate it A WHOLE LOT and I'm sure many others do, too.
MANICPANIC ~ I would love to have you around my house for awhile so I could use your expertise and you could correct a lot of mistakes I know I am making!
Thanks again for the great posts!!!!!

Hi Bob! ROFLMAO!
First, I agree that a lot of learning/teaching is exchanged here among members and I think it is one of the very BEST aspects of the Crusher sites!
NOW! About your teflon-brain problem -- yes, your computer can help, but it might be better to just forget about using the washcloth or Q-tips on one (and only one) of your ears!
roflmaoooooooo
I really enjoy your posts! Make more of them!
