Hi,
I love reading everyones answers
keep em coming...
My fisrt real paying job was at Burger King, I think the pay was about 1.00/hr and I thought woohoo I'm in the money...
I worked in the Kitchen and in the front as a Cashier...Most of my friends at the time worked there and to say we actually worked would be telling a lie

my first job was in Hungry Jacks (US Burger King). I was paid about $6 an hour, and was 16 but spent most of my time before during and after work hanging around the carpark with my friends smoking and drinking LOL, we thought we were so cool..... now those kids that hang out like that irritate the hell outta me!!

My 1st job was in 1965, I was 17, still living at home. I got a job 6 months out of high school at the Credit Bureau of Greater Houston through an employment agency. I was a file clerk. Back then the computer ran on those 7 x 3.5 inch rectangular cards with the square punches in them. The persons name, address etc was printed at the top of the card and I filed them back after the agents/collectors had pulled the ones they were working on. Don't remember how much I made but it was enough to pay my quarter of the rent and groceries in the 2 bedroom apartment I shared with 3 girls (I met right away at work) and have some left to party with.
This was a little trip down memory lane to my start at a independent, free-spirited life, Thanks
