Wow! I didn't realize people could be allergic to trees!! That is a new one to me.

Ok I know they grow trees just for Christmas and some of the best times at Christmas was going out and finding that perfect tree ourselves but I don't like cutting down trees anymore. I still prefer a real tree over artificial and love the smell. And this year we have a real tree as usual.

But when I go to live by myself I will probably get an artificial one. But most likely I might get a small real tree too.

But in answer to the question - I prefer real.

Don't want the mess so it's arificial here. For years I had one that no one could tell wasn't real without feeling the branches to make sure. Now I have a small table top model.

I prefer a real tree. It smells great and I dont think even the most expensive artificial tree can look as good as a real tree. The only problem with a real tree is the needles all over the floor (and usually in my always bare feet. Oh yeah and remembering to water it, it only looks good if it's not half dead by the day we are celebrating.

I enjoyed the real trees when my brother had some farm land and could take little Scotty to go pick out a tree and cut it down fresh, but when he moved to a condo, went with the artificial tree--much easier,

Alan likes a real tree, and I would prefer an artificial one. So, guess what? We get a real tree, when we get one at all. Which makes Alan happy, which makes me happy. Then we decorate together (whether we have a tree or not) and have a good time and that's what really matters.
