I'm afraid it goes beyond "this' administration- this law won't get voted out in the next election !
is it just me, or does anayone else see the similarities between this law and prohibition ?!?! law enforcement, and the mentality that goes with it...! , is just gearing up !!

If you have to ask, you can't afford it hehe. Seriously...why would lobbyists even exist within a (AND I USE THE TERM LOOSELY) democracy? The needs of the many should always outweigh the needs of the few, without exception.
Simply put, U.S. politicians have historically catered to the highest bidders (lobbyists). Even worse, this practice laid the groundwork for the inevitable full-blown corruption that exists today in every level of our government.
Lawyers, bankers, oil tycoons, and mobsters are firmly in control of America and their iron fisted grip is tightening rapidly. Sadly, their agendas are all the same... regardless of any perceived political affiliation. They divide the population by age, race, religion, sex, etcetera utilizing their most lethal weapon of destruction - the mass media.
The end result is that American citizens cannot agree on anything, thus any kind of meaningful revolution is not possible. Virtually all terrorism and drug smuggling worldwide originates from inside the U.S. government. Even if our citizens were willing to consider such a chilling notion, any organized effort to unite America on this front is snuffed out with military precision.
The people of the United States have no control whatsoever anywhere in the political process. I'm of the opinion that like-minded people should seek each other out and form protected self-supporting communities. A good run is better than a bad stand.
