It was only by chance that I stumbled upon the fact that there was going to be a bingo game this coming Wednesday, so how about a section that is strictly for time critical offers/promotion announcements?

No doubt the coding geniuses can put their thinking caps on and glitz this idea up a bit more by flashing up an animation of a paper boy yelling "Extra Extra! read all about it... CC has more HOT news!"

There was no hope of me missing the info as I am constantly crawling all over the site all day long, but with some of the members this info may fly over their heads.

Hang on a sec... more members playing bingo = less chance of winning... scrap that idea, it's awful wink

How dense am I???

I just checked my email and read about the upcoming bingo game which should alert everyone that the bingo is going ahead, which makes my suggestion pretty obsolete.

I should have realised there was something in place to let members know what was going on.

Apologies for that mess up, it won't happen again - at least not for another few more dozen posts at least.

We already have many ways that you can stay in touch with what's going on and any important announcements are communicated to our members via email. HOWEVER, you have to OPT-IN to these emails via the Join Our Groups menu.

The one for bingo and other contests is the Contest Notifications group.

Also, we will be using CC Desktop (see this recent newsletter link :

in the near future for important broadcasts which, completely customisable by each member, can also include a "Shouting" message like "Yooo hooo! There's news!" or something else - we're busy finding sounds right now, but of course if you have any suggestions or links to samples we could use, please post them here.

We can't have another forum as all contests are time limited anyway, and there would be confusion as where to put certain promos and/or contests if we did this. Hope this sounds reasonable to you Smile

I have finally managed to check out the CC desktop and tried using it on win98 SE and it appears to be working so far.

Hopefully it will continue to do so.

Fantastic, I just love that little window. I can always see who's on CC and if I'm going to have to hurry right back or if I can leasurely read my emails lol. Oh yes I forgot I'm trying to find some Treasure chest winners for you. ermmmm well I kinda got side tracted lol. Laughing

ohhhh I might have to download it and install it then.. I was kind of iffy when they said for WinXP because my computer has been so flunky lately. Oh btw I have MOST of the problems fixed.. It had to do with my TCP/PP settings got messed up. Not everything works right all the time but at least most of it does!
