My father passed away when i was very young but iv,e heard many stories about him and know he must of been a good Dad cause he had eleven kids so he must of loved children.

I guees what made my dad the best would be his strict ways, we sure learned how to do a good job with everything we did, if not we would have to redo it until it was perfect.

Thank you for sharing all the wonderful memories of your fathers with us. They were very heartwarming to read and I found myself wiping tears from my eyes. I too lost my father in 1995, but never a day goes by that I don't think of him and use a skill he taught me while I was growing up. I love you Dad!

Lady you are right, this has been a very heart warming contest. My dad passed in 1979 and I still miss him daily. Anyway...... for those of you that still have your fathers, you are very lucky. Next time, give him an extra hug, you may never get that opportunity again, plus dad will like it too! hehee
