My Dad loved giving me money to buy doughnuts at school.

My dad and I were very close. He taught me a LOT about cars. How to change the oil, points, plugs, change a tire, replace lights, rebuild a carburetor, replaced all of the wiring in our jeep, etc etc. He said that there were too many dishonest auto mechanics and its best to do it yourself. (that's why I got married dad LOL unfortunately I knew more about cars then either one of my hubbies lol)
Dad had a very dry sense of humor, he always had me laughing. He also made a damn good "Salty Dog" ... of course I couldn't drink just one, salt makes you thirsty ya know. lol
I was 24 when my dad died from cancer at the ripe old age of 50. I miss him so much!!!

well I am just going to say happy fathers day to all the fathers here at CC forums.
I have never met my father and both of my step fathers were very abusive, so fathers day is not something I celebrate really except for my husband who is a great father to my children

He built boats and houses, one at a time, sold them and started another.
