Birthday Memory Contest Closed Winners Announced

Well, this should be interesting.... since everyone that celebrates New Year's Day.... was and has been helping me celebrate my birthday right all along....soooooooooo that being said I learned to "party" .., from since the beginning.... but the earliest, was probably .... rolled over from the evening prior... however I remember getting "Hot Wheels with the orange tracks"!, and me mudder made a homemade cake with 3 candles on it... !! ... with most of the family .... either 'leftover'...from the evenin' before..., and I always got to stay awake until my Birthday... and make ALL the racket (as my parents called it), that I wanted to!! WooooooooHoooooooo....Yiiipppppeeeeeee!!!.... and Right on!!

I had just turned four and had just been
adopted and got a new pair of shoes, no party.

The first birthday i eally remembe was when i turned 5 i didn't have a party but we had a tip to the circus and i remember that i got my first bike.

1 - Was when I was 13
2 - I got to have 3 kids over for cake and Ice Cream we all where out side on a blanket . it was just a get together . There where no games like other kids have . There where no other famlily members there either . Just 3 friends that was all I was allowed to have .
3 - there where no gifts just 4 kids getting together to eat cake and Ice Cream .
4 - I am 56 now and I never had a Birthday Party sence . Always wanted one but never had one .

well I think I was about 5 and my mother did surprise party for me. I had a Strawbeery Shortcake (the caracter) cake. I got some yoyo type thingy where when you pulled the string tight the thing in the middle made a whirring noise and it lit up.

I came from a big family so we couldnt really afford parties but when i was 10 I wanted knee high boots (leather)(wont say what they call them now and a maxi dress.Well my mom bought me the boots and my grama so sick and not with us much longer made me my dress.I was so excited and still remember what that dress and boots looked like.

Even though my bday is in January my mother always had a party for me....my earlies bday memory was when I was about 8 and my mother invited most of my grade 2 or 3 class and low and behold most came...

I used to love the slab vanilla cakes my mother would get from this place called The National Bakery they really were the best...

Just before I turned 12 the best gift I ever got for my bday was my mother took us out of Foster Care...that really was the best bday ever...

Mom was sick and couldnt take care of my sisters and I for about 6 months...so every year I remember that day...

The earliest I can remember is when I was 5 yrs old. The reason I can remember it so well, is that is the year I was hit my a motorcycle and I had my birthday party while sitting in a wheelchair...LOL... I received a pop-up head doll and a slinky.

The first birthday I remember there was a party, I think that I was 4 years old. I don't remember what I got for a gift, but I remember that I wore a really pretty blue dress that was my favorite. I came from a big family, (9 brothers and 2 sisters) so that was the only party there was. after that we were lucky if we got a cake. I have that one year though that was special and I am glad for that.

I think I was 5 also, I remember getting a bike and a dog! It was at my aunts house, it was a great Birthday!

Our home growing up wasn't much for birthday parties. Eleven children on a coal miners pay didn't allow for such frills. However, I do remember my 5th birthday.....My little brother Michael had just been born and brought home. I wasn't too pleased about not being the baby anymore, so my Aunt Kay must have thought I needed a special gift. She brought me a loaf of homemade bread, the kind you could tear apart and have two loafs. When I tore it in two there was a nice crisp $1 bill stuck in the middle of the loaves. That was quite a gift for a 5 year old in 1964!! I've never forgotten that loaf of bread!!!

My 13th birthday was my most memorable. I went to see the movie "To Sir With Love" and later on that day I received a heart shaped ring with my birthstone in it. About 38 years later my daughter Tammy took the ring without me knowing and got it restored to its original condition. So I still wear the ring today!!!

god my childhood must be much worse than i thought as im only 34 but i can't remember any birthdays when i was young...i do remember my 11th birthday tho not for presents etc but because that was the day my dog which we had had for years got knocked down and killed and i was heartbroken... but never mind thats life and these days i still dont remember birthdays much but at least miller and vodka explain why i dont now LMAO... anyway geno thanks for another good contest but you could have started it of for us as im sure loads of crushers would like to know a bit more about you as well ......oc and royal have shared some of their darkest secrets LOL tho im sure they regret it LMAO but im sure you have plenty you could share....only an idea LOL

As Spook said we weren't big on parties.I don't ever remember having
a party or gifts.I only remember my 18th.I was now old enough to buy my own liquor and go to the tavern where my brother worked.
