Geno hacked?? - Casino Crush Forums - 18 Dec 2007

I received 2 emails. One said "I am sorry to say but I hacked Geno"

The second was a big long email explaining that Geno had been hacked, and then there was a link to goto to reset my password (which is what made me think it was crepe....cos who clicks on links and supplies their passwords in emails?!?!?)
anyway, did anyone else get these emails? And they are crepe right? Cos everything here looks as it should be.

we did get hacked but Geno had site up and running a few hrs later.

Yes, I never thought of that - including the password link was probably a bit silly - I should have just explained what to do..

The first email was sent by the hacker, the second you got was indeed from me.

Everything is pretty much back to normal now And should similar occur in the future, as in the few times we've had hackers in (and well we get several known attempts a day that are batted away too which you'll never know about lol), we live and learn and it just improves things. We've improved how things will be handled next time (including now also, the email that I might send out informing of things being sorted!)

PS. By the way , there is a post (currently Globally shown in all forums about this incident).. All these posts will be deleted around 24th Dec because we don't like dedicated any space to these kind of actions
