This was a ears ago...
One very late night, I was doing something online on AOL. A message popped up that this woman was trying to send me an Instant Message. I was bored, so I clicked on it and asked her if I knew her. She said no, that when she saw my email , she felt like maybe I needed help. At the time, I was severely depressed (suicidal even). She said she was a bit psychic and maybe she could help. I hadn't believed in psychics (now I'm not so sure) but I thought "What the hell?". Without telling her he had died, I asked her if I would ever get over losing my husband (most people assumed divorce or separation). She felt that I would, although it may take quite a bit of time because we had been so very close and he died quite suddenly. She went on to tell me that since I've suffered from depression for so long prior to that, it would make it more difficult.
This caught my attention. Not just that she had been right but how I felt when she responded. I definitely felt a connection. Then, I asked her if it had been an accident or suicide (this had been a question that I had been painfully struggling with for some time). She told me that it had been both, leaning toward suicide. She said more, we chatted back and forth for quite a while.
After it was over, I was trembling. I just knew that she had been correct. I also knew that Dan (my late husband) was there with us. Maybe that's too weird to accept but I know what I know. It helped me a lot because I no longer had to struggle with the question. I didn't like the information that I received. I had to accept it though.
It didn't happen on Halloween but it was surely spooky! I didn't think I would hear from her again and I never have.
