Explain This Contest Closed

Well, can't say as I have ever seen any ghosts or spirits or had any experiences along that line but my sons and I did see an unexplained light in the sky once. We were coming home after a ball game one night and were near the airport when we all saw this extremely bright light. At first I thought it was a plane but my oldest son said "Mom, its not moving!" I pulled off the side of the road and we watched it for several minutes. It was up real high and never really moved. We never did find out what it was, and I'm not sure I want to know LOL

I am proud of my crushmates who are finding the courage to speak up about what most people are afraid of being laughed at for. We are really getting to know each other a lot better, aren't we? It makes me miss any of you who don't post for awhile and makes me realize how close I feel to those of you who post as much or more than I do. What an interesting group! And not to brag about us, er...hmm...uh..
but taken as a whole group, I really do believe we are above average -- way above -- in intelligence. Remember, intelligence has nothing to do with how much time you have spent in school. It has everything to do with how you think (or IF you do LOL). I think our 4 leaders set a good example for us, don't you?

I also am inspired by dozens of members who post. I won't go there because as sure as thunder as soon as I started naming names, I would leave someone out who should be near the top of the list! But I HAVE TO say that I find Josie's posts to be particularly open and honest and usually very touching.

And it amazes me how Maw says things in such a clear, definite, and concise way, wasting no words. She writes like a journalist is supposed to.

And NoNo ~ her words leak caring and kindness all over my computer, and some pearls of wisdom drop down on my keyboard.

Lucky makes no bones about anything and if she says it -- she means it. And if she changes her mind tomorrow, she will mean that as well. You can count on her saying what she feels without censoring herself ~ I love it!

Valeria, Annacris, notLOL, treehug, sisters, Bugola, babsy, wiltonjr, ROC man who writes great directions, but I said I wasn't going to name names,didn't I? Right now I am thinking of several more whose posts I would never skip over because they are always so interesting. Beats grading students' essay papers any day!

Bet you think I have wandered off the subject of unexplainable weird things. Well, I HAVEN'T! Because this bunch of crushmates is the weirdest thing that has happened to me!

Actually it was just the other night! My kids took my car and went out to the movies and I was back in my room watching tv and talking to my dad on the phone. I heard what I thought were my car keys in the living room and figured they were home. A few minutes later I came out because it was too quiet. There was no one here at all! Weird!!

nothing creepy has happened to me yet hopefully it stays that way

First of all I want to thank RoyalBLush for her kind words.
Well years ago, when my daughter was in the cadet scouts and I was the scout leader, we went to a horse ranch for a weekend. I think there were 3 multiple sleeping bedrooms upstairs and a room downstairs that we were all sleeping in. I woke up to find a man standing in the doorway of my room on the 2nd floor. I think I said "What do you want?" or something like that. He pulled the door shut and left. I wondered why the dog had not barked!! Are the girls OK???? Who was it???
Fear set in. I layed there for I don't know how long, shaking.
Finally I decided I better check things out.
I went into the next room where another adult was sleeping. Awoke her and said there was someone in the house. The girl from the ranch was sleeping in a room at the top of the stairs and her door was shut. We awoke her and I told her the story. She called a guy who slept nearby in a trailor.
We checked all the girls on our floor and thank goodness they were all OK.
BUT what about the ones in the back room on the first floor!!!!!!!!!!
The man from the trailor, with gun in hand circled the area in his barefeet and saw no one.
We cautiously and quietly made our way down the stairs. The door to the back room was closed and not a sound coming out.
Imagine the shock and fear when we burst in the door and flipped on the light screaming "ARE YOU ALL OK IN HERE!!!!"
Well now we had screaming teenagers on our hands too!!!
Fortunately all were safe.
Well needless to say I was relieved.
WAS THIS A BAD DREAM I HAD??
No it was not!!
The only thing we could find missing was a big flashligt from the front room.
The next day we scoured the area. We did find the flashlight!!!
So it was real and not a dream!!!
I don't think I will ever forget this. It happened more than 30 years ago.

nope iv,e yet to expeirence anything out of the ordanary

when i was about 8 yrs old had a nightmare my oldest sister(18yrs)

had taken my candy bar. I woke up crying my eyes out. My mom Woke

her up of course.She was laughing in her sleep. When my mom asked her

what she was laughing about. She said that she was dreaming that she

was taking my candy bar from me.

Well, I guess it's time I gave a proper response in this contest. Soooooo.......

When I was 12, we had a cactus indoor plant that had never once bloomed in years. One morning we woke up and it was in full bloom. Had happened overnight. While we were looking at it in awe, the phone rang with the news that my grandmother had died overnight. She had given us the cactus years before and told us then it was a "special" cactus. It stayed in bloom for 3 days. When we got back home from her funeral, there was no trace of a bloom and it has never bloomed since. ???????????????
