My favorite birthday have to be my 21st back in January 2000. On the actual day on my birthday (on a Wednesday), my mother and I went to all the casino boats in the Quad City area (Illinois/Iowa...along the Mississippi River) I won a little bit of money, so that was cool!
Afterwards, we ate breakfast at Denny's. My mother also bought me a birthday cake, a Scooby-Doo balloon, and a couple of gifts. That Saturday, I went clubbing and got drunk for the first time! LOL!!
It's amazing how so many people will buy you a shot when they know it's your 21st birthday!! That Monday, as a birthday gift, my then best friend took me to the Kid Rock concert in Moline, Illinois....which was awesome because I was at the front of the stage, then got invited to the backstage party and got to hang out with Kid Rock and his band after the show!! How I got invited?! The guitarist, Kenny, thought I was hot and had one of the security guys give me a backstage pass!!
HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY, CASINO-CRUSH!!!

my favorite birthday gift was a puppy. so cute and cuddly with his big floppy ears...
I have a few special gifts
My son was born 11 days before my birthday and my daughter was 10 after so I classed those years and getting my best gifts
Now this may seem creepy for some, but to me it has a special meaning
Everyone always told me I was grand-fathers favourite
Thinking back I can remember a lot of special little treats I got that others weren't allowed
My grand-parents brought me up and one of my aunties is three years older than me so she was always jealous
Anyway here is the part that always makes me cry on my birthday (not because I am sad, but because I knew how much I was loved)
My birthday is 14/04/72
My grandfather died on my 10th birthday
He was 72!!!
So he died on the 14th of the 4th at 72 years old
So for three reasons now my birthday is a very special day indeed ![]()

Hi Crushers ~
I'm back from vet with good news!
The doggie was not one of my own, but was a little pitiful stray who came to my door, cold and hungry and with a runny nose.
When I got to the vet's with her, after warming and feeding and fresh water, we were met with happy news. The vet knew her and her good parents were frantic since she had been missing.
So....HAPPY ENDING!
Crushers, I know you are not the ones who need to be told, but please help me pass on the word: Please be extra attentive to your pets during the Christmas season.
The kitties will be curious and entertained by all the extra activity, But your doggies will be worried and upset and very nervous -- maybe even enough to run away! So give them extra care and explanations and keep their food and water containers full, and offer extra treats. Most of all, extra hugs.
And remember Linnie's signature line in her posts!
All us doggies thank you and please ask for my mailing address for extra treats! LOL!
