Unfortunately I started at a young age when I used to go down to the coast with my family and I was seduced by the loud noises and flashing lights of the gaming machines in the amusements.

Although they were very small stakes of 1pence/2pence (about 1c), I was addicted - but I have slowly weaned myself off them through the years, so now I can control how much I spend and not get into money troubles.

All the same, I still get that buzzing feeling when a big lands and at the back of my mind I feel the big one is just around the corner, that's what keeps me coming back

I went on a bus trip to Atlantic City with a couple of friends. Had no idea what to expect! Well now I go twice a year on a bus trip there. Part of it is the fun on the bus, but most of it is the thrill of waiting for the big one to hit!!!!!!!!!!!! I have hit some small ones but never THE BIG ONE.

Well I was always lucky the first few times I gambled. My ex and I would go on trips to the mountains and stop and play on the way in these little small bars and I always won and we came home with more money than we left. Then I started going to this place he bartended at for a few times and hit their slots a LOT in fact they banned me cuz I wasn't a member and I was winning all the members money LOL.. so I was hooked with being lucky THEN hmmm what happened the last few years to Lady Luck!?! She seems to have taken a powder.

Well here it goes...

I was 23 and I went with a friend to a place on the Utah-Nevada border called wendover. They have a few casino's there and he'd been before but this was my first time. I brought 200 and he brought 300 and we played and played until we each had 20 left. It was 2am so we both decided it was time to go.. why not just sit on the video poker and end the night broke ANYWAYS.. with 10 credits left I hit 4 to the royal and held them.. we were both joking around before I hit the deal button .. we both agreed steaks were on me if I hit the last card and BOOM.. "Your in the Money, Your in the money" started playing and I won 1200 dollars just like that.. If I remember correctly my friend had the 20 oz....

When I was young, I was always interested in mechanical games ~ pin ball, Atari, etc... so to play and win money was *GREAT*. We also use to play cards once in awhile for money when I was a teenager. So got hooked right away. I keep gambling because I always hope for a *BIG* one!!!

we have slots or pokies as we call the in Australia in every pub and hotel, my Mum took me for lunch one day I I tried them and won $500 on a one dollar machine and Ive been playing since then, although only online for a bit over a year - they are great because I dont get to go out to play since I have had my kids - I just play when they are in bed so its heaps convenient and gives me time to chill out.

Well, i started off at a young age with the slots in the amusement parks, then it started again when nearly all bars had video poker machines.
That's really the reason i began playing Texas Holdem on the net and from there progressed to casino's. I just love the comodity of being able to play from home and that way when the money ends it ends.
