Here is a copy of a story on tonights local news:

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Nevada state gambling regulators have given tentative approval for a casino's plan to operate an Internet poker website accessible only within Nevada boundaries.
The state Gaming Control Board in Carson City gave conditional approval Wednesday for the South Point casino to conduct interactive gambling.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that if the Nevada Gaming Commission gives the OK on Aug. 23, the casino owned by Michael Gaughan would be the first licensed for interactive gambling.
South Point attorney Steve Harris told the Gaming Control Board that a system to run the poker website is currently being tested by an independent laboratory hired by gambling regulators.
He says the South Point poker website could begin accepting wagers over the Internet on a trial basis by October.

Could this be the beganing of the end of the on-line gambling ban for Americians?

Other states, like New Jersey and Maryland and possibly others, are already doing this. They obviously want to take advantage of the revenues they can bring in, but as long as this remains on a state level, and does not become federal law, I don't see anything changing much in a near future, especially if you live in a state where hell could freeze over before they loosen regulations, like Virginia. Good news for those who live in those states, however. Anything is better than nothing!

Hi,

Well the USA has to start somewhere..I guess it's baby steps going by State first..Perhaps the Feds are going to see how well it works and we all know that if the Feds see big revenue they're going to want a piece of the action..

1- VIP/HIGH ROLLERS ONLY
2- A SET LIMIT! DETERMINED BY WAGER EXPECTATIONS/LENGTH STAY
3- A "CREDIT LINE" TO BE SETTLED BEFORE DEPARTURE
4- ITS LIKE A "GAME-BOY" LOL . LINKED-TO-ALL GAMES INSIDE THAT SPECIFIC CASINO

THE IDEA WAS TO ALLOW "HIGH ROLLERS" THE FREEDOM TO GAMBLE FROM ARRIVAL THRU TO DEPARTURE, KEEP BETTING WHILE SWIMMING, WHILE SEEING SHOWS WITH WIFE, SHOPPING WITH KIDS, OR ESPECIALLY (MAYBE) EVEN WHILE DINING OUTSIDE THEIR CASINO!!
