Sorry But Someone Is Hacking Cc Server- Update 20th March

Dear Crushers,

Many of you have noticed that in the past few days that for several hours each day CC has been unavailable.

We seem to be under attack by someone wanting to cause us harm and take our websites down.

For the time being, you will likely find that you're unable to access parts of the forum whilst I try and resolve this issue.

I've had to add a bunch of restrictions but as this is a distributed swarm attack from so many different IP addresses it is very difficult for me to sort this out quickly.

This means that for the moment many of you will receive a FORBIDDEN error when trying to post or reply here.

I really appreciate your patience and of course if anyone knows who may be responsible then please let me know.

Here is an update to a few things I've managed to get done to slightly contain the issue (the attacks are still ongoing but we're still fighting lol).

I've now been able remove the Extra security precautions for those registered members that have logged in within the last 6 months or so (HOWEVER - this is by IP address which can sometimes change for some people)... so please read on ....

IF YOU ARE LOGGED IN BUT STILL GET A "FORBIDDEN" ERROR:-
You should still be able to send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE. Just send me ONE PRIVATE MESSAGE ONLY with the subject "FORBIDDEN PROBLEM" and what you were trying to do when you got the Forbidden error (just one example will do) -- I will then be able to make the necessary changes to allow you to continue as normal.

PLEASE DO NOT SEND MORE THAN ONE PRIVATE MESSAGE -- I will reply as soon as I see it to acknowledge and/or a reply saying that I have made the changes.
