I think I've always used a star. I was told that it represented the bright star in the sky when Jesus was born.

Funny, this is first time I connected that together in many, many years.

THIS YEAR WE PUT A BIG SHEER WHITE BOW, WITH SILVER THREADS THAT TWINKLE . I LOST MY ANGLE , WHEN OUR BASEMENT FLOODED A FEW MOS.

I think we always had a star on top when I was growing up. I'm in the desert now, so we have a Christmas Cactus instead of a tree, and it just has lights on it!
