Well this is the way i see it,

This is a progressive slot, every time you make a spin, some of your wager gets put in to the progressive jackpot, when some one wins the jackpot it like a huge deposit in to your casino account,

Check this with Geno, the money cannot just disappear, definitely check with Geno on this asap

i agree with what you say boris as if noones actually won it as in mikes case he won it but cant cah it out as it was a free bonus with a maximum withdrawal then the money should go back in so someone can win it and cash it out...but unfortunately casinos dont do that...and how many random jackpots are won at rtg casinos on free chips that noone has a hell in cashing out

EXACTLY,

Im an affiliate, and someone won a progressive jackpot once, and that was like a huge deposit in the casino, and i got a small piece of the money, because it was treated like a deposit,

I bet the casino manager is laughing his head off right now, if not him then someone else is, but certainly someone is.

And im of the opinion that the reason RTG give out so many free chip is for that exact reason,

I rarely make any money, i thought that would be pretty obvious with the way im having a go at the LUU at the moment lmao

Its hard, but one of the benefits is that you get to understand how this casino merry go round works much better than when your a player, i can see here that someone is going to get a whole load of cash for nothing.

Just thinking about it, i wonder what the response would be from Rival themselves regarding this, after all it is Rival Gamings progressive slot and not Irish Luck's

Just a thought

I think since the jp is Rivals, and not Irish Lucks, then it should be paid to the winner. Definitely a special circumstance, and if not, then it shouldn't just be taken from the winners account when he/she can earn comp points on it. Seems wrong that the jp got so high, and then is reset to $4,000 with noone winning it. That is obviously why the bonus was given and only to be played (max) in that game. Would be so exciting having that flash on the screen...

The difference is that random jackpots are unique for every casino.
You're not allowed to play the "RTG's global jackpot games" with any free chips...
But totally agree with you all that in this case the money can't just disappear back to casino's pockets as it does when someone hits a random jackpot with a free chip.
If the jackpot amount isn't pumped back to what it was before Mike's hit, I think people are screwed and then this "special promotion" really starts to smell...as it would look like a convenient way of getting rid of their biggest jackpot with only having to pay dimes as "complimentary gifts" compared to the real cost of it...

here here, wheres Geno's expert opinion when we really need it? I would definitely contact Rival Gaming to get thier opinion on this, i think Mike should be allowed to keep all of the money, and regardless of whether or not it was a free chip.

Mike pm crushadmin and ask for his advice, it doesnt matter if they have cleared your account or not,

Dear all,

I have been in touch with Irish Luck Casino manager and I know he's working closely with Rival and Mike to get this resolved ..

Of course personally I'd love for Mike to be able to keep it all but this is very much a first really.. bearing in mind the following factors:-

- This was the first ND bonus to be played specifically on a Rival progressive jackpot.
- The terms of max $375 cash-out were clearly stated when the promotion was started (there were no exceptions on whether it was the full jackpot or not).
- As the chance of hitting the progressive is quite small (but of course randomly it can hit anytime) - I guess they thought it wasn't going to hit then lol.. (although thinking back I guess it's more likely when there are so many players playing at once perhaps?)
- Bear in mind also the cost of all those $37.50 freebies everyone got and played - they do cost the casino and add up to a LOT (possibly even more than the jackpot!) - even 6000 players x $37.50 is more than the jackpot and I know there were a LOT of players that played it.

I believe that the emails between Mike and the casino are really possibilities they are discussing. I'm not sure what happens with the jackpot money when it comes to Rival. I believe the standard is for it to be paid to the casino , and then from the casino to the player (in normal cases).

This topic already has a lot of hype and publicity so I'm assured that the casino will do the best they can for the player and for their public image (but I'm not suggesting that this is just to pay the full jackpot in cash as of course there were terms attached to accepting the free chips).

Of course as a player myself I'll be very interested to see what happens with the progressive contributions (all the % of bets from everyone that built up that bit jackpot) if they are not paid to the player (either in gifts/prizes and/or cash)..

Personally, I think the fairest way (to both all Rival Casino - as the jackpot is shared between all I believe) and to Mike, would be to pay the max as per the terms ($375) and then return the remaining amounts back to the progressive slot pot (and ideally the casino do something else special for the player).

Of course this is all a lot of speculation and whilst I'm happy to contribute an opinion - as we all are - I think it's important to remember all the other players that played and therefore contributed (with deposited money) to that pot as well...

I know that Irish Luck and Rival are dealing with this as #1 priority and I'm sure they'll reach an agreeable conclusion that is fair to everyone.

I must also add that Mike's attitude to accepting the max is only $375 as per the terms - straight off really was really impressive to read. What a guy!

I'll watch with excitement as this story unravels and I'm sure that the conclusion will be good and fair to all Smile

Happy Gaming Always!
Geno/CC

They gave out about a million in credits...if that number of 27k players that took part in that promo is accurate.

In my opinion, those credits are bonus credits and have no monetary value until they were turned over at least that 5k wagering.

Until that it's just air...non-existing "money" that has no effect on casino's liquidity. If a player doesn't cashout with a bonus, it's a zero loss for a casino... Smile

If 1/100 cashed out, then they took about a 100k hit which is still half less than having to payout the 214k jackpot amount...weird scenario.

I find it absolutely mind boggling to think that this casino offered so many people these freespins/free credits and didn't have a plan in place in case somebody won the jackpot.

There plan was obviously to give out these free credits and no one win the jackpot, so by pure luck they have got their money back you could say. So when they started this promotional free credit give away they had already said goodbye to the cost of all those free credits. So i say mike should get all of it.

I totally agree with you Geno! And I too applaud Mike for his willingness to accept the terms of the bonus as stated. From What I have seen so far Irish Luck is working towards and agreeable end to this for everyone and yes I do think it only fair to all who have contributed to the jackpot that it be put back in for someone to win.
