Reply with quote Back to top

Hi Crushers ~

Well, Ecocard lowered the boom on me today via email.

I don't think I have to say a thing. Just show you the email I received.

Come on, Quick Tender and ELECTION DAY!

Here it is:

To ensure that your EcoCard emails get to your inbox,
please add support@ecocard.com to your email Address Book or Safe List

Dear Barbara Harris,

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR US LOCATED ECOCARD CUSTOMERS:

In the light of recent industry developments EcoCard has decided it will no longer process any payment transactions originating from US located customers that may be related to internet gambling.

This change will be effective from 24th, August, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. PST

Please note that after this date US located customers will still be able to continue to use their EcoCard account at non-internet gambling supported merchants, to make Person to Person Money Transfers and for Withdrawals.

Please be assured that your account will not be closed or suspended after the effective date and you will still be able to Withdraw any funds after the effective date.

Please note that before the effective date you can continue to deposit with and receive funds from your preferred EcoCard merchant(s).

Customers located in other parts of the world (except the US) are not affected by this change. All transactions for these customers will operate with no disruptions.

We apologise for the inconvenience resulting from this change.

Best Regards,
EcoCard Team

EcoCard Customer Service working hours:
Monday-Sunday from 7.00 AM to 4.00 PM GMT.

How do I know this is not a Spoof email? Spoof or 'phishing' emails tend to have generic greetings such as "Dear EcoCard member". Emails from EcoCard will always address you by your first and last name.

After what we, that live in the USA, have experienced over the past months, I can say yes I'm disappointed that Eco won't be a way to fund online gambling any more, but at least Eco did give us notice, unlike Neteller that just closed everything down , keeping everyones money for almost 8 months without any notice.

I really don't like surprises, especially when it concerns my money lol. So, I can deal with Eco's doings and I'll go with the flow to the next company and so on and so on and so on, because dammit I love to gamble online!!! Razz hehee

Happy Gaming Always!

How will this affect the payouts to winners here at Casino Crush? And who knows where the flow is going? What other sites can Americans use for deposits online?

Thanks all

Hi Sable, this doesn't affect how CC can pay USA members, your account will stay open with Eco Card and Geno can pay you via peer to peer so its all legal. Geno is however, checking into other possible sites so that members can still use their winnings if they'd like to gamble with them. You can still deposit to casinos via Eco Card until August 24th.

I do know that Quick Tender is an option and Geno is checking into that possibility. There are casinos that accept Western Union, Money-Gram etc and you can check out all of the deposit methods if you go to the data base and click on Deposit Methods. https://www.casino-crush.com/casinodb/

As far as knowing where the flow is going .... it is my understanding that Quick Tender is either part of or affiliated somehow with Eco Card and as of now since hearing of Eco cards changes that's the only new option I've actually heard of that the majority of casinos are going to be using.

Hope this helps!

Happy Gaming Always!

I'm with you, OC!

BUT let's not forget: It was not Neteller that did the closing of Neteller without notice. It was the U.S. government.

Also the government that forced the holding of our money.

Neteller was as surprised as we were! Because the reason the government moved in on them and closed them was for something the original two owners had done -- and they had sold out and had been gone for a long time.

At least, that is my understanding, and it is quite possible I could have read the wrong documents.

Just want to keep the record straight. You know me. Wink

I'm sure you are right RC, what I should of said is at least we are given notification this time with Eco Card instead of like the immediate closure of our Neteller accounts.

By the way I had a whole $5 in my Neteller account and made a withdrawal Monday, it was in my checking account today. God I miss Neteller and their processing time!!! Sad

Oh well ... now I need to figure out what to do with that $5. Shocked ROFLMAOOOOOOOOOOO
