AUSTIN, Texas - A far-right faction of the Texas State Board of Education succeeded Friday in injecting conservative ideals into social studies, history and economics lessons that will be taught to millions of students for the next decade.
It's times like this that I'm ashamed to be a Texan. I'm going to email some politicians and voice my disgust with this kind of action ! _________________

One thing that really disturbs me is the injection of the second amendment into the bill of rights, which says everyone has the right to bear arms. lol
I can just see the new face of the school yard when kids start exercising there second amendment rights by bringing guns to school.
"If its in the constitution, and the teachers are teaching it, then it must be right""
One other sad note about this is that it won't be limited to Texas only, most of the publisher of schoolbooks nation wide is made in Texas, so they are not going to be making more than one version of any given text book, so what they make there, they sell everywhere. _________________
