NEW BINGO LIVE CHAT - COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!

Dear Crushers,

As those of you that joined us this week will know - we have a slightly changed system for Live Chat Bingo. The rules are the same but the Live Chat system has been changed and also now your bingo card appears in the same window.

I invite all of your comments and suggestions about the new way Smile

I will update below with suggestions already made that are either being worked on , being considered, or just simply not possible... so please try to read these below before posting new suggestions Smile

1. For how your messages appear in the chat window
- Color selection for your chat
- Font type selection
- Font size selection
- Maybe BOLD or not selection

2. Re-sizing how much of the screen the bingo game side takes up vs. chat

Geno, My major concern with the new chat is that the chat does not scroll smoothly and there is no way currently to back it up. When a new line of chat is entered the screen jumps and this was beginning to give me a headache. I also noted that we don't have a chatter's list to tell us who is in the room.
As for the chat appearance issues, the font size really does need to be larger, (many of us are older and the small font is hard on the eyes) Having it bold might also help. as for a particular font I don't really think that matters as long as it's not a fancy one. I use the Georgia font most of the time in the forum.

The size of the bingo card in relation to the chat screen does seem a bit large but I don't really find it to be an issue.

Can you please tell on the fonts being too small - is that for just chat or for the bingo card bit aswell ?

Dear Crushers,

I've made a few changes as follows so far:-

1. The chat side of the window is now bigger
2. The font size for everyone has been increased to the size that was usually used in our previous chat system. This also is now bold for all chat typed messages (not automated system messages).
3. I have set a color for each person that has recently attended bingo - please take a look at which color you have by going into Live Chat and just typing something - you will then see your color.
4. I have added the Wine (glug glug lol) Smiley to the set of available smilies.
5. The smilies page has been changed to 4 per row rather than 8 per row so you can pop this next to the chat window a bit easier and use it by scrolling up and down.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR COLOR CHANGED - -
--- Please send me a PM as soon as possible (please don't leave it until Friday / during bingo - as I will be unable to do it then) and let me know the color code ... OR send me a PM and use the color pallette to pick the color you would like.
Ideally send me 2 or 3 options -- bearing in mind that our chat is on a white / light background Smile

Please try Live Chat again and let me know if there is anything else you would like changed Smile
