Hi all,

Well today, thinking about the sheer number of promos which are floating through our Casino Promotions forum, I was thinking of something which I hope will make things easier, and perhaps keep things visible for a little long ..

So, I'd really like to know... and whatever is voted at the end of the month will be Smile

Would you prefer us to

(a) Scrap Casino Promotions and replace it with 2 new forums..
- No Deposit Bonuses
- Deposit Bonuses
(initially moving all existing posts to the No Deposit Bonuses as the majority of posts are for no deposit bonuses generally)..

(b) Keep things just the way they are now

(c) Something else?

The poll & suggestions brought 3 suggestions to mind for me:

1) 1st, I'd like to offer some suggestions that I think would make all the promo sections easier to use and even more helpful to all members, regardless of which type of promo is involved. Many people already do the things I'm suggesting, but if we can all do it, it would really help us to save time and be able to skip offers we aren't eligible for or aren't interested in, and give us more time to find the great promos that we ARE eligible for and would love to use, but often never find because we spend too much time reading posts that turn out to be for promos that don't work for us. I know that I often get frustrated, because I find out too late that there were some great promos I didn't learn about until they expired, because I didn't have time to go thru everything and find them. And I know others often have the same experience. So today when I was looking thru the promo section, I looked at it carefully as a whole, and realized there is a simple way we can all help each other get the most benefit from the promo sections and make them easier to use and navigate. The solution is as simple as making the subject headings clear and specific, and then providing as much info as we can about the promo's requirements in the actual description. Others may disagree or have better ideas, and are welcome to correct me. But here are my suggestions for all posts in all promo sections:
A) GIVE A CLEAR SUBJECT TITLE THAT GIVES THE FOLLOWING INFO:
1) Name of Casino
2) ND-req or Dep-Req or ND4Bonus-ButPastDepReq(x-days,ifappl)
3) New Players Only, or Existing Players Only, or Both New And Existing
4) Expir Date or Promo Start/End Dates (if you have them, or if applic)

EXAMPLE: SUBJECT: WINDOWS CASINO,$3ND,EXISTING,5/1ESTonly
or CASINO GRAND BAY; Dep$25/$50free; NewOnly
INETBET;$10ND;New&Existing;exp5/5,11:59pm

When you list a promo, try to provide as much info as you can - if there's a casino webpage w/the promo info, provide a link, or if they sent you the promo in an e-mail, cut and poste the info into your post. Otherwise, there are basic things that are important to know, and although not all will apply, and you won't alays have the info, try to give as much info about the eligibility and requirements as possible. Provide the info I stated regarding the "Subject", of course. But also provide the important requirements and restrictions in your description. Give eligbility requirements, if a deposit is required, say whether the deposit amt must be exactly what is stated, or if you can deposit a larger amt. Give instructions required for claiming the bonus, and if you must follow a series of steps, say so and provide them in order. Say how you are to claim the bonus - will it be applied automatically, and if oso, is it instant or will it take a while, and how long will it take? If you have to enter a coupon code, explain where and give code, lol. If you must enter your acct or other info somewhere to claim, explain how and where. And whether you take the action, whatever it is, to cclaim bonus , before or after you deposit, if you must deposit. If you claim the bonus by sending an e-mail, give the e-mail address, give the subjectl line you're supposed to use, if any, and what info you must include in the e-mail. Give wager requirements, and any min or max withdrawal limits. And if bonus can only be used to play certain games, or if cannot be used for certain games, definitely say so. Otherwise, give any other info important in claiming bonus, meeting all rules and requirements, and successfully cashing out if you win. That way, players know what is required and expected, and as long as they follow the rules, they'll have a good experience with few frustrations. Of course, there are always casinos that are not legit, and you can't make them act properly or give bonuses they promised but never intended to give, so that's just part of online gambling. You can't control casinos. Or make players actually follow instructions, lol. But if you provide info on what the promo is in the subject line so we can each pass those we're not eligible for and read the ones that sound good, without spending lots of frustrating time; and you give all the important rules and requirements for the promo in your info, so players can follow it and generally have a smooth experience.... Frustrations can be reduced and FUN can begin! LOL! Seriously, tho, i think this could make the promo section even better, and wonder if others agree.

2) Soda's suggestion is EXCELLENT, because it would provide better, faster access to the kind of promos/bonuses that are increasingly rare, but are also the only type of promos that most of us can actually benefit from, since we've already deposited at most or all of the quality casinos we know we can trust - specialty promos for EXISTING PLAYERS, as well as new players, that offer FREE MONEY or GREAT BONUSES for small deposits & hve wagering & other requirements that rte reasonable enough to give us a fair chance of actually cashing out winnings; there are very few good offers for existing players, wnd when they ARE offered by a csino, they tend to be offered for only 1day, or sat most for a weekend, and they seldom make them well-known, even if ALL EXISTING PLAYERS ARE ELIGIBLE.

THOSE OFFERS all too often become buried in the promo sections of forum bords very quickly, so many of us miss many greaaaaaat bonuses we could legitimately claim and enjoy.
Putting them in a separate section we could check regularly would DEFINITELY help us post such bonuses, and find out about the ones others post, and in time to claim the offers during the short periods they're offered for. IT'S A GREAT IDEA THAT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO REALLY BENEFIT PLAYERS!!!!! Espeically those of us who are loyal to the casinos that offer such bonuses, but aren't highrollers, and therefore don't usually receive mucch or anything in the way of significant reards for our loyalty in the way high-rollers tend to be rewarded.
THE specialty promos tend to be a casino's way of rewarding the loyal low-rollers, but far too often, we don't find out about the bonuses at all, or find out too late to take advantage of them.
CC could definitely lead the way on a terrific new approach if you opt for this idea.

3) Soda's idea is AWESOME! But I wonder if using that idea, which I hope you definitely DO, would make it more sensible to leave the other promos (free money and deposit-required promos) in a single topic. That way, we can be more sure that the specialty promos for both new & existing players that belong in Soda's section don't get placed only in a no-deposit topic that will involve primarily bonuses that most of us have either already received, or aren't eligible for because we registered before the casino offered a free-money casino. Or the specialty promos could also end up in the topic of deposit-required bonuses, too, but not the Specialty topic. (too many sections can become confusing for both the people who are posting promos AND the players looking for promos; plus, with Soda's category made a promo category, dividing up the other types of promos into 2 sections instead of 1 might result in promo sections that have no entries for long periods of time and become unused after a while, or might become the target of affiliate spammers, if there aren't a lot of entries, which just ends up pushing legit promos out of esy sight or results in members not checking that topic because of too much affiliate spam, causing them to miss out on really good promos that are occasionally posted.
Of course, I can be wrong, and will even admit it (occasionally, rofl). And I might not have thought of things you have. But I figured I'd offer my current thoughts and see if they fit; if not, toss them, lolol.

I voted and I like Soda's Idea too, or any idea that keeps me from reading a lot of details only to find out I can't use the promo.

This will be a tremendous help and save a lot of time, but those posting the promos MUST be sure and put their promo in the right place. I would hate to be the one who has to monitor the posts and has to move them to the correct section or see double post because the same promo was in 2 different places, etc. I think everyone would do their best when they see how beneficial the system could be.

I say "Go for it" with clear topic headings so posters would get their promo in the right place.

Sorry if I seem negative, I really didn't mean to be, I just have a tendency to look at things from all angles.

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR FEEDBACK.

All your feedback will always shape our forum into the way you want it to be and I've read all your posts above (even Doktersuz's massive one lol!).

What would be really useful doktersuz is.. if you wouldn't mind of course.. making a post which basically puts all of what you said into small bullet points which ALL members would read as like you say, nobody likes wading through pages of text.

If you could perhaps make us a template with all the things that you would like to be included, members can then copy it and use it to make their own. Next month I'll try and make this automatic for the promo forums so people just fill in the relevant info.

I will wait til the end of the month on how to split the forums but I can see it's definitely something the majority of you want to see so I will do this at the end of the month.

. There is one thing, what Dok say... many times, when i see new promo topics like "20 FREEE, N/D!!!!" "WOW, nice bonus".... i think too, ok where, what casino, when, etc? Of course i can check that topic, but i recommend to posters, that they say that in topic title i.e., what crushadmin use about GB promo:

I'm glad others liked my suggestion also. And thanks for helping out by putting your own suggestions for how to do it. Everyone who posted gave useful examples of helpful changes, & did it in much shorter way than me, lol.
I know my posts are often long, lol. Geno, I really am sorry about that. I try to do it in a shorter form, but please bear w/me at times like now - because of my MS, I have almost no feeling in my arms/hands/fingers, so I have to wait to post until the symptoms are at their least, and then just type as quickly as possible before the neuropathy completely takes over again and its impossible to type. That DOES mean that I just try to type out my idea as fast as possible to get it written, & don't have a lot of time to sort out bullet points that make sense, before I completely lose the use of my hands. I'm trying to get used to this, but it will take time to learn to adapt properly to the newest stage of my MS in many ways, including shortening the posts by quickly coming up w/very short ways to state my meaning while I still have enough ability to type. I'm also learning to type using a special wand in my mouth, which means poking out 1 letter at a time w/pathetic coordination (once I totally lose the use of my hands and can only type or write using a wand held in my teeth, you won't have to worry about long posts ever again, rofl, roflmao. But my apologies for now.
Please bear w/me, everyone, as I try to adjust to the ever-changing and -frustrating effects of my MS. I promise I'm working hard to adapt & learn to do things in a better way, so please be patient and I promise to get better.
