RARE Tornado Pix (daughters college area) So. California

Clouds hanging over LA/Long Beach (Pre Tornado) Look at the ocean- so choppy

They are calling this a FUNNEL CLOUD (Ha Ha) in Seal Beach

They had just closed the public access 20 minutes before this shot of the waves-

They called this the "tornado" touching down at Huntington Beach Pier!

THANKS SARAH SO MUCH!! SHE IS FINE- I was very very worried. Sad

Happy, though, for her last semester (<YAHOO!!) or until her *new hubby* gets out of boot camp & stationed, she is staying with her grandma (dad side) who lives only blocks from the college.

A great surrogate mommy (I know she is married and all, but she IS my only 1!) and best part is we are good friends, so she keeps me informed! LOL Razz

WOW Patti,

If I had a daughter and she sent me those pictures, I would have been worried too.

As you know, I live in San Diego.
And the other day I told my husband that I heard there was a tornado warning through the emergency broadcast system on tv.
We both looked at each other and said "yeah right" and shrugged it off.

Well obviously they were right about the tornado, just had the wrong about the location.
As soon as I seen your post, I went and showed my husband
Both of us were surprised that there relly was a tornado.
If we didn't see your pictures, we would have never of believed that it had actually happened.

So glad that your daughter was safe during this event.
And it's great the two of you are good friends!

Wow I lived in Huntington beach several years ago I'v never seen waves that big anywhere in the area. Thanks for the pics. I wouldn't have belived it either.
