Thank you, OC, for such an understahding response to such an unusual absence excuse!
Your total acceptance brought back memoris to me of the day at age 5 when he reeled in all by himself his first big river fish, the day at age 6 when he saw the ocean for the first time and jumped up and down, squealing in total delight, and the day at age 10 when he reeled in his first big shark and his teacher did not believe him, which sent me flying, raving mad, to that school, ready to squeeze her scrawny neck until an apology in front of the class was promised! Oh, my. Those were the days.
P.S. I didn't know it, but Robbie was reading over my shoulder as I typed this, and he said, "Those were also the days that made you my everlasting hero!"
Now I'm crying. But don't worry. I love these kinds of tears.
