PostPosted: Sun Apr 12, 2009 9:16 pm    Has anyone noticed a change in microgaming casinos? Reply with quoteBack to top

Hello Fellow clickers!

Over the last month or so, I have noticed that whenever I deposit with a microgaming casino (and I deposit A LOT!), my money is going faster and faster. I'm not getting much play-time for my deposits, and when I win Free / Bonus Spins, or a bonus round, the prizes are pathetically small. Where I used to be able to make an occassional small withdrawal, say a few hundred or so, withdrawals of any amount seem to be no longer an option.

I began to question microgaming in general when I had an experience with the casino group that crushers don't like. I won the bonus round on Snakes & Ladders, and the software froze. They said it was a microgaming issue that would be fixed shortly. It's over a month later, and microgaming has not fixed the issue. There are some other details and factors involved, such as the casino warning people not to play Big Kahuna on the message of the day. They seem to not realize that Big Kahuna is a different game entirely from Big Kahuna, Snakes & Ladders, and it was only a week or so ago that they adjusted their message to reflect the correct game. Of course, they are still allowing players on the game, at no responsibility to themselves, because they are being warned on the message of the day. The casino accepts no responsibility, and says that they will do nothing about the problem. I've lost a potential $300.00 bonus, since I was on max coins when I won the bonus round.

Now, I have done some research, and found that microgaming is not a regulated organization. Their website has been removed from the Internet, and they do not respond to any attempts at communication. We are depositing money with casinos who use microgaming software, and it is microgaming that is controlling the play. If they are not regulated, then who is really protecting us. And, if the random generator is truly random, why do I usally get Free / Bonus Spins on Stash of the Titans after 12 clicks? This doesn't happen all the time, but it has happened often enough to eliminate the notion of randomness.

I guess I would like to know what experience everyone else is having with microgaming casinos, and if you agree or disagree with what I am saying.

For now, I'm pulling back on my deposits to microgaming casinos, and I'm letting them know why . . .

Thanks for listening.

Hi Molly,

can you tell us which casino you are talking about. Micro-gaming as far as I knew is the safest software to play on.

I have deposited in many different groups of microgaming casinos, and I have experienced the change in "play" in all of them. I am not allowed to post the name of the casino that has the software issue, but I think you can probably guess the one I mean.

Also, how do we know that microgaming is so safe if there is no regulating authority controlling them? I'm just thinking out loud here. If someone knows differently, I wish they would say something.

Molly I am glad to hear that it's not just my "gambling mentality" thinking that I can't win sh*t at microgaming casinos anymore. I have been involved in this industry as a player and as a casino affiliate for over 7 years now and the past 2 years and more so the past year I have more often found myself whizzing through my deposits, with hardly any type of bonus or incentive, and sitting there broke and with no feeling of fun because rthe most I ever win is like 20 dollars if that......

somethings fishy if you ask me

I feel the same way. The last 10 deposits or so I've complained to support and they all told me it was not them that had tightened the reigns on the looseness of the slots. I t was a random number generator and I must just have had an unlucky day. I hope it get's cleared up soon I love playing the games and this economy hit's everyone not just the casinos. I work hard for my money and have had to tighten my belt to just be able to deposit. Which is less than I did a year ago. So if anyone here can see what is the issue I along with what seems to be several players here will be much happier campers.

Thanks CC,

Hi, check out this site, and always look for there seal on all microgaming casinos

http://www.ecogra.org/

eCOGRA, a non-profit organization, is the independent standards authority of the online gaming industry, specifically overseeing fair gaming, player protection and responsible operator conduct. The function that eCOGRA performs protects those who engage in online gaming where it is lawful.

Prompt payments, safe storage of information, random games, honest advertising, and responsible behavior by the online casino and poker room operator are the primary concerns of every player, so that means they are also the primary concerns of eCOGRA, "eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance".

Our goal is to deliver all of these player imperatives at quality sites carrying the eCOGRA “Safe and Fair” Seal. Be sure to look for it, everytime you play. If it’s not there, your site may not be safe. Independent Directors are solely responsible for determining which software developers are admitted as eCOGRA members, and which operators qualify for the eCOGRA Seal. And, in the unlikely event a problem develops while playing at an approved site, eCOGRA has developed a first class, fast, free player dispute mediation service. Additionally, we offer you a Fair Gaming Advocate, accessible on the eCOGRA site.

Your Advocate is available to represent you as a player, designed to be your voice and assure your questions, concerns and queries receive attention in a prompt, professional manner.

Play without worry only where you see this Seal

I truly want to believe that there is some accountability on the part of the online gambling industry, but I have found out otherwise, through research, and personal experience.

E-Cogra does not regulate microgaming at all. E-Cogra has left me high and dry with the issue I've had with the microgaming casino I mentioned above. They have not advocated for me, because they said the problem has affected too many players, and it was a microgaming issue, not a casino issue. E-Cogra regulates casinos, but not microgaming. E-Cogra then stopped responding to my e-mails completely.

My initial post was to voice my personal concern over the fact that microgaming casinos seem to have changed for the worse. They are not paying out, deposits go too quickly, and in my research I have found out that microgaming has no regulatory authority. I had previously thought that E-Cogra monitored microgaming, but this is simply not the case.

This is the e-mail I received from E-Cogra.

We have investigated your query with [Casino] and have made the following findings:

This is a software issue and not a player issue as all players are experiencing an error with the bonus round of the game.
It is under maintenance with Microgaming and the message of the day (still active) advised players not to play the game.

The message of the day was updated in this regard at beginning of February, see below:

(E-mail showed the message of the which listed Big Kahuna Video Slot incorrectly. It should have been Big Kahuna, Snakes & Ladders).

Players are expected to read the message of the day before playing the game – see above screen shot.
The game cannot be deactivated as this can only be done at the software provider level, who need it to remain operational.

[Microgaming Casino] are in contact with Microgaming on a regular basis and will inform you as soon as the issue has been resolved.

Kind Regards,

Tex

When I pointed out that the message of the day was advertising a problem with the wrong game, I was told that they would get back to me. I have sent several e-mails, but have never heard from them again. It's been weeks.

ok ill give my usual 2 cents lmao....ive always found that i can play loads and never win at microgaming and other days i cant stop winning...i dont think the casinos are fixed as over the years ive deposited many times and never got a win but other days i get good wins...its just down to luck whether you win or not...but if everyone could cash out regularly from all their deposits then we would not have casinos for long but because someone loses a lot and gets poor Free / Bonus Spins doesnt mean the casinos are fixed...theres several games ive never had a good hit on but others do well at regularly...as for the bonus screen in a game jamming that doesnt mean the casino is trying to cheat you out of money...i had the same problem not long after hitman came out when the screen jammed totally during bonus round...i was annoyed as i had 4000 coins and had just picked the weapon for multiplier when it froze......i tried loads of times to get it working and eventually ladbrokes said it was a software problem and they had to get on to them....it took 4 months of them constantly emailing me with different suggestions in which time they credited my account a few times with £20 for the inconvenience before eventually they managed to get a solution to the problem....and after they fixed it eventually i could complete the round and i got the 6x the 4000 coins so i won £240...so im sure the casino will try and fix the problem but as the fault will be on your account it can take ages to sort as when hitman screwed up for me everyone else at ladbrokes could play it no problem...so if you keep chasing them up they should eventually get it sorted

Well I would have somethings to say about this. I only play at 1 microgaming casino because I live in the great USA in NY. I deposit there all the time. Just 3 weeks ago I hit huge and withdrew it all within 2 weeks ( direct from casino was a few days, QT took a week or so ) but anyway I have been getting alot of play for my money even without that win. Usually at most I deposit $25 at one time. I can quite often actually make that deposit last the entire weekend. And that is playing for a very long time each day of 3 days. I won't say how many hours since it would really make me look like a heavy gambler lol. And actually I used to think wow I cannot get any play out of my deposits but just the past few months I have done well. Only the one cashout but have gotten to play for a very long time on very little.

Maybe you are trying to shoot too big and betting too high ( you said max bet on snakes and ladders wow ) I play minimum bet and work my way up. Sometimes I start at 2 coins but still low. you betting max bet is not going to make your money last lo0ng at all especially if the slots are being tight. Start small and work your way up or if small isn't hitting log out and try again tomorrow. This is just my 2 cents on this matter, I love microgaming and have not had any issues with them at all when it comes to making my deposits last these days.

I'm glad that you are happy with your microgaming experience, but the casino I mentioned said that they are not going to make things right, in fact, they are going to do nothing at all. They have given me not one penny for the inconvenience, and have not even admitted to inconvenience.

The way I see it, if the house is meant to win 95% of the time, then that still leaves plenty of money for people to win on occasion. I am fine with that percentage, as I realize they are in business to make money. My problem is that there is no guarantee that my deposits are treated fairly, or that the game play is regulated as it should be, so I am not going to be depositing with microgaming until something changes.

I realize that my comments could be perceived as overly critical. This is not my intention. As I've said before, I'm thinking out loud, and I wanted to share my concerns with people who are in the same boat as I'm in.

Thanks for listening.

I bet from 20 cents up to max coins, depending on my balance. I just happened to be on max coins when I played Snakes & Ladders (I was being a daring gambler).

I think it's easier to say that I'm doing something wrong when I gamble, than to look at what is really going on here. In any case, I'm glad you are having a different experience from my own.

I've been having the same issues with microgaming casinos, I feel like I've been getting jipped when I actually hit a bonus round, they seem to pay out very little nowadays! (being called a"bonus" round is kinda ironic if you ask me) The "bonus" rounds dont seem to be hitting like they used to, I cant even begin to count how many times I've played my entire deposit through on one or two slots and neither one get near hitting Free / Bonus Spins or a so called bonus round. I've uninstalled most from my computer (micro's) because of this reason! I feel I'm not getting my moneys worth when I deposit and my play time is being cut shorter and shorter each time! Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in. Thanks for listening.
