Sun Apr 12, 2009 9:16 pm Has anyone noticed a change in microgaming casinos? |
|
Hello Fellow clickers!
Over the last month or so, I have noticed that whenever I deposit with a microgaming casino (and I deposit A LOT!), my money is going faster and faster. I'm not getting much play-time for my deposits, and when I win Free / Bonus Spins, or a bonus round, the prizes are pathetically small. Where I used to be able to make an occassional small withdrawal, say a few hundred or so, withdrawals of any amount seem to be no longer an option.
I began to question microgaming in general when I had an experience with the casino group that crushers don't like. I won the bonus round on Snakes & Ladders, and the software froze. They said it was a microgaming issue that would be fixed shortly. It's over a month later, and microgaming has not fixed the issue. There are some other details and factors involved, such as the casino warning people not to play Big Kahuna on the message of the day. They seem to not realize that Big Kahuna is a different game entirely from Big Kahuna, Snakes & Ladders, and it was only a week or so ago that they adjusted their message to reflect the correct game. Of course, they are still allowing players on the game, at no responsibility to themselves, because they are being warned on the message of the day. The casino accepts no responsibility, and says that they will do nothing about the problem. I've lost a potential $300.00 bonus, since I was on max coins when I won the bonus round.
Now, I have done some research, and found that microgaming is not a regulated organization. Their website has been removed from the Internet, and they do not respond to any attempts at communication. We are depositing money with casinos who use microgaming software, and it is microgaming that is controlling the play. If they are not regulated, then who is really protecting us. And, if the random generator is truly random, why do I usally get Free / Bonus Spins on Stash of the Titans after 12 clicks? This doesn't happen all the time, but it has happened often enough to eliminate the notion of randomness.
I guess I would like to know what experience everyone else is having with microgaming casinos, and if you agree or disagree with what I am saying.
For now, I'm pulling back on my deposits to microgaming casinos, and I'm letting them know why . . .
Thanks for listening.

Molly I am glad to hear that it's not just my "gambling mentality" thinking that I can't win sh*t at microgaming casinos anymore. I have been involved in this industry as a player and as a casino affiliate for over 7 years now and the past 2 years and more so the past year I have more often found myself whizzing through my deposits, with hardly any type of bonus or incentive, and sitting there broke and with no feeling of fun because rthe most I ever win is like 20 dollars if that......
somethings fishy if you ask me

Hi, check out this site, and always look for there seal on all microgaming casinos
http://www.ecogra.org/
eCOGRA, a non-profit organization, is the independent standards authority of the online gaming industry, specifically overseeing fair gaming, player protection and responsible operator conduct. The function that eCOGRA performs protects those who engage in online gaming where it is lawful.
Prompt payments, safe storage of information, random games, honest advertising, and responsible behavior by the online casino and poker room operator are the primary concerns of every player, so that means they are also the primary concerns of eCOGRA, "eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance".
Our goal is to deliver all of these player imperatives at quality sites carrying the eCOGRA “Safe and Fair” Seal. Be sure to look for it, everytime you play. If it’s not there, your site may not be safe. Independent Directors are solely responsible for determining which software developers are admitted as eCOGRA members, and which operators qualify for the eCOGRA Seal. And, in the unlikely event a problem develops while playing at an approved site, eCOGRA has developed a first class, fast, free player dispute mediation service. Additionally, we offer you a Fair Gaming Advocate, accessible on the eCOGRA site.
Your Advocate is available to represent you as a player, designed to be your voice and assure your questions, concerns and queries receive attention in a prompt, professional manner.
Play without worry only where you see this Seal

I'm glad that you are happy with your microgaming experience, but the casino I mentioned said that they are not going to make things right, in fact, they are going to do nothing at all. They have given me not one penny for the inconvenience, and have not even admitted to inconvenience.
The way I see it, if the house is meant to win 95% of the time, then that still leaves plenty of money for people to win on occasion. I am fine with that percentage, as I realize they are in business to make money. My problem is that there is no guarantee that my deposits are treated fairly, or that the game play is regulated as it should be, so I am not going to be depositing with microgaming until something changes.
I realize that my comments could be perceived as overly critical. This is not my intention. As I've said before, I'm thinking out loud, and I wanted to share my concerns with people who are in the same boat as I'm in.
Thanks for listening.
