PostPosted: Mon May 05, 2008 6:17 pm    Future Prize Payments (temporary) for USA members Reply with quoteBack to top

*** UPDATED 14TH MAY 2008 ***

Dear all,

Please read the following new topic in our Contests forum about how to submit your future payment information:-

SUBMIT YOUR PAYMENT INFO TOPIC

Please note that we are no longer able to process QuickTender transfers, and so are going to try our best to provide other alternatives - mainly for now these will be Paypal and Moneybookers (in addition to existing methods Neteller and EcoCard).

Please note that we are TRYING this out - and as such it may take a little while to get everything set up such that funds can be paid from the different methods.

In particular, MoneyBookers will be fine from next month (June) , but due to current funding restrictions (because we haven't used it much yet), it won't be possible to send any money during May.

I hope you will all consider your options for payment and submit these via the Payment Information Change request page (see the topic above for a link to that).

Best regards and Happy Gaming Always,
Geno/CC

--- ORIGINAL TOPIC POSTING BELOW ---

Dear all,

I understand from reading some recent responses and emails from various people on the subject of an alternative way to get prize money to those we were paying via QuickTender (ONLY!). (please also see THIS TOPIC for previous information about discussions re. not being able to do QuickTender at the moment and re. other payment methods considered) ,..

PLEASE NOTE: Those in Canada using EcoCard - just make sure you get your account verified with documentation for Peer 2 Peer transfers. Everyone else (non USA / non Canada) - Neteller is still our only method of payment of prizes. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE PEOPLE - PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST!

As it is suspected our ability to pay via QuickTender may take some time, we would like to gauge preferences for possible alternatives.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT BE MAKING ANY RASH DECISIONS ON THIS AND WILL BE HOLDING BACK PAYING PRIZES AT LEAST UNTIL 15TH MAY JUST IN CASE QUICKTENDER IS SORTED OUT FOR US BEFORE THEN.

I understand from OrangeCrush and most recently from sharon030161
that you can fund wired plastic / prepaid debit card(s) using both Paypal or Moneybookers (both available to USA members).

As such, I'd like to see which is the more popular option. I know some of you may already have account(s) or due to certain restrictions may or may not be able to have an account at either or both.

I would appreciate it if you could please let me know (USA only peeps please) which is the most viable option to you.

PLEASE READ THIS BIT BELOW BEFORE VOTING!

Please vote for ...

Paypal - if Paypal is the ONLY option available to you out of Paypal or Moneybookers
Moneybookers - if Moneybookers is the ONLY option
Paypal OR Moneybookers - if both are viable options to you.
NEITHER - If you do not / can not have accounts / use funds from either of them.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO CONSIDER EVERYTHING - INCLUDING ACCOUNT REQUIREMENTS, HOW YOU WOULD USE THE ACCOUNT / TRANSFER FUNDS ONCE THEY'VE BEEN RECEIVED FROM US!

Please feel free to reply with additional information BUT PLEASE DON'T TELL US ABOUT PREPAID VISA / WIRED PLASTIC CARDS UNLESS YOU KNOW 100% DEFINITELY THAT THEY CAN BE FUNDED BY SOMEONE ELSE OUTSIDE OF THE USA!!! (and please also include details of fees etc)!..

I hope that this will be a temporary solution but I'd like to know the preferences / most popular so I can get on with things if we've not reached a solution with QuickTender by the middle of the month.

Best regards always,
Geno/CC

crzynana2001,
www.moneybookers.com

afulk8,
Thanks - but we can't use Western Union / MoneyGram to send funds for prizes (not purely but partly due to the fees, but also the administration when paying the number of prizes we do).

Here we are just considering the Paypal / Moneybookers option - of course if you take the money either of those ways you can then use MoneyGram / Western Union etc .. that is up to you .. I'm really just concerned with how we get the money to you to start off (and please bear in mind that I'm hoping this is only a temporary solution).

Thanks both for your replies and input wink
Thanks
Geno/CC

I have PayPal - Moneybrokers is not a viable option for me till I can get a bank account. But I do have an existing PayPal with ATM card.. so that would be good for me.
