M - Manatee

The manatee also known as a sea cow is a large marine mammal is found in warmer waters only in the eastern hemisphere around subtropical regions such as Florida and the Caribbean. The average manatee can often weigh more than 500kg and can grow to lengths of over 4.5 meters. Despite their large size it is not uncommon for the manatee to reach more than 70 years old.

N - Natterjack Toad - a toad native to sandy and heathland areas of Northern Europe. They are distinguished from the common toad by a yellow line down the middle of the back. Natterjack Toads have relatively long legs, and this gives them a distinctive gait, contrasting with the hopping movement of many other toad species.

O...THE OTTER, IS A SMALL MAMMAL THAT LIVES ON LAND AS WELL AS IN THE WATER. THE SEA OTTER FROM NORTH AMERICA HAS BEEN KNOWN TO TRAVEL
AS FAR AWAY AS SOUTHERN JAPAN. THE OTTER IS A FANTASTIC FISHER AND CATCHES MOST OF IT'S FOOD ON IT'S SHARP FRONT CANINE TEETH WHICH
THE OTTER HAS 4 OF IN THE FRONT OF IT'S MOUTH. SOME OTTER'S HAVE PURPLE TEETH INSTEAD OF WHITE, DUE TO THEIR DIET.

P PIKA

Pikas are herbivorous animals and the pika therefore has a diet based on vegetation. The pika is a diurnal animal and forages for grasses, seeds, weeds, thistles and berries during the hours of daylight.

Q - Quolls or Native Cats, are one of 4 species of marsupials all from the same Genus. Although they are sometimes referred to as Native Cats, they are not related to true cats. They get their name from their cat-like appearance and predatory behavior.
They can be found in the forests around Australia. The 4 species are the Spotted Tailed Quoll, found along the East Coast, the Western Quoll, found in Southern Western Australia, the Eastern Quoll, found only in Tasmania and the Northern Quoll, found in tropical North Queensland.

Raccoon - The raccoon is a medium sized bear-like mammal that was originally only found in North America. Due to the deliberate introduction of the raccoon into other countries, the common raccoon can also be found now in Europe and Japan. Smile
