During the period between Christmas Day and New Year we have new contests announced daily relating to the festive season. Each of these contests may run for more than 1 day and the end of this contest is shown above wink

This contest idea is based on an idea from Geno who was NOT rewarded for this idea in our November "Help Us Prepare" contest wink

TELL US HOW YOU RECOVER AFTER TOO MUCH FOOD AND/OR DRINKS OVER THE FESTIVE PERIOD

- Share with your fellow crushers your top tips for recovering from an over-full belly or an over-achey head! wink

There will be 1 prize of 1 x $5 for 500 CCpoints randomly drawn from all eligible entries.

Detox with herbal teas. Drinking herbal teas (like fennel, mint, or chamomile) the morning after a crazy night calms, soothes, and relaxes your stomach. Tea also works wonders on headaches and indigestion, especially when sweetened with honey.

My problem is more with too much to eat and the best remedy for me is a bit of activity followed by a nap, after that I'm good to go again

TRY HONEY SPREAD ON A PIECE OF TOAST.
HONEY HELPS THE BODY BREAK DOWN ALCOHOL INTO HARMLESS
BY-PRODUCTS.
IT ALSO HELPS WITH THAT HANGOVER-INDUCED HEADACHE!
A SPOONFUL OF HONEY STIRRED IN WARM WILL HELP BALANCE
THE BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS, CHANGED BY TO MUCH ALCOHOL!

Immediately, you should hydrate. Here you’re looking for liquid and electrolytes. Stephenson suggests antioxidant-rich grapefruit juice with some sea salt in a glass of water; failing that try for coconut water, or at a pinch, a cold can of Sprite (which Chinese researchers have found help make the various liver enzymes that metabolise alcohol).
