Dear Crushers, I have missed you guys sooooo much, you'll never know!!!

I thought I best let you know what's been going on with me for the last year. And yes this will be a novel. lol

A little over a year ago I started getting sick. Thought I had a bad case of the flu and at the end of December I was in bed.

Barry started getting sick the end of December. We both were in bed and fortunately Barry was able to get a home nurse mid January to come in and take care of him. (I don't have insurance) She was such a sweetheart and checked on me when she came to see Barry.

Towards mid January to the end of the month, I had a couple of days where my temp was up to 105/106 fortunately the temps only lasted a couple of days. I would wake up to go potty and didn't know how to get out of bed fortunately I would figure it out before it was too late.

I forgot how to smoke. I found myself trying to light my chapstick. I had Barry remove my smokes and lighter. lol Fortunately I slowly started feeling better. Oh on a good note I lost 35 pounds. Smile

It took until around June to get back to almost normal. The 2nd week of July I woke up and my right side of my face had dropped. It scared me so bad. I watched to see if I had any stroke signs and after hours I hadn't had any.

Barry of course wanted to take me to the hospital (no insurance) and I refused. About 6 weeks later I finally went to insta care to find I have Bells Palsey. Its a virus and settles in behind the ear drum (if I remember right lol) and it is curable with steriods and patience.

Usually its over before 6 months but can take up to a year. I'm pushing 6 months now ... but ... finally I have started seeing improvement ... my wrinkles are appearing back on that side of my face LOL

This has really played hell with my eyes and I have times that I can't really see for a few days. The past 6 months Barry has been my chauffeur, right arm, etc. But I can see I am getting better ... but

I have forgot a lot of things, but am starting to remember some. I get frustrated very easily and I'm trying to improve on that.

Oh and I have lost 55 pounds yayyy, thats a good thing LOL

I contacted Geno the end of last month and asked him if there was anything small I could help him with. He asked if I could do the daily contests (he already had the contests made up) I just put images in them and every day at midnight eastern time I put a new contest out and close some of the contests.

I was very frustrated in the beginning but every day it seems a little better. I surprised myself and have remembered some of the things I use to around here but ... I am taking baby steps and thank you Geno for allowing me to do this!!! You are a wonderful man and I will always love you!!!

Crushers, unfortunately I'm not able to come back full time now, but I hope with all my heart I'll be able to soon.

I've missed my Crusher family and home!!!

Am so sorry for everything that you & Barry are going through , You have been very much missed and are glad to have you back even if it's just baby steps. You just make the forum more enjoyable. Don't forget if you need anything , am not to far from you. (( Love & Hugs ))

Take small steps my friend. They will get you there, just might take a little longer.

But each step you take will help you gain strength. You have been during this year

Dear Rita,
It was so scary to read how much you you went thru this year !
I can only hope this is over and new year will bring you all your health back to normal.
You were missed here and we all are so glad you doing better and you may come back full time to us soon !

I hope this missive finds you well and able to see clearly. I, and so many others, have missed you greatly. I miss our skype chats as well. It is great to see you and to know that even though the improvements seem very slow, at least they are progressing. 3 and 1/2 weeks and we will be in a new year and hope all goes well
