“Birds of Fury:”
Bird’s of Fury video slot is one of the newest games at Bovada Casino, and I have yet to decide whether it will be among my favorites. “Birds of Fury“ is a take-off from a well-known video game that rhymes with “Schmangry Schmirds” if you catch my drift. These are not cute, fluffy, tweeting birds. In fact, they are as mean and scary as cartoon birds can be . . . Then again, I’ve always scared rather easily, so you’ll have to be the judge.

“Birds of Fury” is colorful, and attention-getting, and like any other game it has the potential to pay out well. As of this writing the game‘s random jackpot is up to $1565. Not bad if you‘re the winner! Symbols are mostly brightly colored birds sitting on a nest-like structure, and the birds are suspiciously giving each other the “stink eye.“ Other symbols are the wild symbol, which is a brightly colored yellow egg, and the scatter, which is a “Birds of Fury” symbol. Wilds can appear anywhere, and the scatter must appear three or more times to trigger the bonus.

“Birds of Fury” is a 25 line video slot game with a minimum bet of $.25, and a maximum bet of $125.00 per spin. My usual bet is around a quarter, and can go up to $1.25 per spin if I am feeling very confident.

Bonus Round:
The bonus round is triggered by three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the paylines. The bonus is ten spins with a two times multiplier. During each free spin, wins can be randomly multiplied by up to ten times the amount of the bet. In addition, wilds can randomly appear, and sometimes expanding wilds appear and increase wins dramatically. Interestingly, “Birds of Fury” wilds can appear randomly at the end of any free spin, and this can re-trigger several times. This is a feature I have not yet seen in other games.

Another bonus feature is a random “pick one of three eggs” feature, which can appear between any spins. Three eggs pop up on the screen, and you pick one for a prize. On a bet of $1.25, I chose and egg with a $12.50 prize.

To the best of my knowledge, “Birds of Fury” is only available at Bovada RTG Casino. Although Bovada is RTG, they have a group of their own proprietary games that are a few steps above normal RTG slot games, and they come out with new games every few weeks. New games usually perform very well for the first week or two, which makes new game rollouts an exciting time to play at the casino. The new games at Bovada are the closest thing I can get to that microgaming feel, and I think that why I love them so much.

“Birds of Fury” is a cartoonish video slot, with simple, colorful artwork and an outdoor bird theme. Although I cannot fairly criticize the graphics, I will say that this game does not have the same artistic ambience of other games at this casino, such as “Dragons,” “Indiana Jane,” or “Hercules,” just to name a view.

Audio is another story, however, as the background audio has that RTG “heart attack” sound when the bonus round may be triggered. I mute the sound, because it’s enough to put me in the hospital with anxiety, and I look forward to a time when all RTG casinos start to spend a little bit of money on their audio.

System:
With this particular slot game, it’s hard to rely on any kind of system. If you’re hot, any size bet seems to pay, and if your cold, even quarter-sized bets can leave you with a zero balance in no time flat. There have been times when I have remained on really low coins for a few hours, and then hit it big and bumped my bet up to higher amounts to good effect, but I can also say that the opposite has happened. Bovada does seem to offer decent playtime, compared to other casinos, and even if your not winning big, you usually win enough to keep playing for awhile.
