PostPosted: Mon Jan 22, 2007 5:10 pm    Visa Gift Cards Reply with quoteBack to top

I noticed that quite a few people have posted here that they use or have used Visa Gift Cards.

Well I have had one sitting on my closet shelf for quite awhile and fingered I'd use it since its not getting used for anything else.

My question is: How do I go about using it at a casino. The card says "CAN NOT USE FOR INTERNET GAMBLING"...lol..do all the cards say that?

You could try to use it like a regular credit card but I always just used mine to fund click2pay. Good luck......happy gaming!!

Hi Pegeesue,

I have been using visa gift cards for about a year to fund my online gaming..There are two that I use..One is the all access visa card and the other is the gift2go Visa card. I have used these two cards without any problem. I just put them in like you would a regular visa and select debit card in the drop down menu. I live in California and I purchase the all access card at safeway or albertsons and the gift2go can be purchased at Walgreens..Im not sure exactly which one you have but I know that the ones I use do not say anything about gambling being prohibited on their use...Did yours work? Im just curious..This is the only way I fund my gambling and I have been worried about how long it is going to continue like this..

[/b][i]I have been using Visa Gift Cards also. I have been purchasing mine at US Bank. The thing is the minimum you can load on a card from US Bank is $25.00, then they charge $4.99 for the card. The card is not reloadable. Before you try to use the card to deposit anywhere make sure you go to the website listed on the card and login in with the card number, then you want to register your Visa Gift Card there. Be sure to use the exact address that is on your accounts. After you register your card, then you can use it online. They have an option for a re-loadable pre-paid card at the site, the fee is low for reloading the card, if you want to get that card, I suggest taking the Gift Card you just registered and loading the re-loadable one.

I havent tried using the card at too many places really yet, but I have been able to use it at a couple of Skill Game sites, and at Hot Pepper Casino. You use it as a CREDIT CARD, not a DEBIT CARD. The post above may be true as well, but for me I have only been able to get it to work by using it as a credit card.

I hope that this helps out your questions some.

Good Luck Everybody

hi !..ty both for your suggestions. I've tried them both and I can't get it to fund anywhere...I followed the directions you both gave me.

I live in Canada and the visa gift card is call MyTreat Visa Gift Card and yet it does say "You may not use your Card at online gambling websites"..lol.

What casinos have you used it at?..maybe i'm just not trying the right ones?..there's not sense in letting this card ROT when I can enjoy it..lol

first off there is a difference in a visa or MasterCard gift card and a visa or MasterCard prepaid credit card... alot of casinos if they know its a gift card they might denie it.... go with netspend..... www.netspend.com, you can order one for free online or go to a local retailer and buy one.... if oyu go to a retailer they give you a temp card until you get the real card... there is a 9.95 fee for activating it upfront.... but with netspend there is no monthly charge, but there is a 1 dollar per transaction charge which is not bad, where i reload mine its only a fee of 2 bucks to load it, anywhere from a min of 20 bucks to 10,000 dollars.....

go to the website and it will tell you where your local stores are.....

If you go to privacash.com, you can purchase a "virtual credit card"
with your gift card and that card is useable & reloadable.
It's all explained on the site.
Works 4 me. Smile

I use my gift cards (both Access and Gift2go) daily at Casino Action Groups sites. This includes Challenge, Nostaglia, Golden Reef, Uk Casino Club and Music Hall. I have NEVER had a problem and I cash out without any problem. Before neteller quit I simply did immediate payment to neteller and then picked it up at an atm within an hour..but I guess thats not gonna happen anymore LoL..
They know these are gift cards and they have no problem with that..
they really have been wonderful to me at Casino Action.

I had a question about the Privacash cards..Shamin..do you know if we can withdraw to these cards? After reading their website, they sound like a possible solution. I can see where you can have paychecks deposited to them..do you happen to have any knowledge about this?

thanks all
Kellye

netspend prepaid cards(not gift cards) you can have it deposited like a direct deposit such as a payroll would...netspend gives you the routing and bank numbers like a checking account

yeah, visa giftcards and visa prepaid are entirely different. i only found one or two gift cards that u couldnt use for out of usa purchases and all casinos are out of the usa. (visa vanilla was one). the only thing is if you use them( i used mine at microgaming casinos),you can only register a few credit cards on your account then you have to call support and they will remove them for you so you can add another.all the posters here are right when they say get prepaid cards. i finally got a greendot visa and can use it all microgaming that accept usa players. take care all

Hi IMKEL,
Yes you can have money transferred back to card but only $500
per transaction & $2500.00 per month.
The only bummer with this card is $4.95 to reload and $1.75 per transaction.
But... it works in every casino & is very convient for me.Smile
Hope this answered your ?.
